Taylor Judith MaddoxYou've seen the w o r s t in me now, I'm all a l o n e , see?
You l o s t me somehow, and what we're f i g h t i n gFor is p e a c e , are you s t i l l in love with me? Taylor didn't understand why the front door was locked. Nope, she didn't even have the slightest clue. She didn't know how Vanessa was feeling about the whole situation with her ex, which she probably misunderstood. She rested her forehead against the glass in frustration, standing immobile for a moment, before peeling herself off with a relieved sigh when she heard the light pitter-patter of footsteps, a pattern that she now recognized. A small smile formed in anticipation on her lips, breaking its way through her confusion, but it fell the moment she saw Vanessa's face. What was going on? She looked devastated. She suddenly regretted making such a ruckus earlier, when she probably would have been able to sneak in through one of the windows or something. Her green eyes moved down towards the doorknob, hearing the click on the other side signaling that it was unlocked, before pulling it open.
But before she even set foot in the place, her roommate was already gone from her view and her attention was stolen when she heard a scream of anguish echo out in the otherwise empty apartment.
After taking a shower, Taylor went to see her ex off to the airport, where she would be leaving to Boston for the next six months for some kind of business meeting. But somehow, Tay knew that she wouldn't be coming back. They had discussed a few things and the topic came up again about re-establishing their relationship. The funny thing was that Taylor had smiled and turned to her, before saying, "It never would've worked between us. I wasn't ready then and I'm not ready now... because, you see, I'm falling for someone else." Her ex had been surprised, mostly because Taylor sounded so serious and it was the first time that she'd heard her say anything about falling for someone. Tay could even see a flash of jealousy in her eyes. And then she heard her bedroom door slam shut. She wondered if Vanessa had seen them together, but thought little of it. They were just holding each other, for old times sake. She almost felt like she owed her ex something.
Her thin, naturally sculpted eyebrows knitting together as she made her way down the hallway, she stopped at the door to Nessa's bedroom. Her green eyes instantly darted down to the floor at the sight of movement, before blinking a few times as clothing was tossed across the room from Vanessa's position at the closet. She opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. She recognized this routine all too well, having seen it one too many times before, and it definately took her by surprise this time. Why was Nessa doing this to her? They weren't even a couple, as far as she knew. What had she done this time to get her so upset? It would be wise to ask, but she didn't have the courage, instead silently resting the side of her head against the doorframe.
Walking up to the glass front door, Taylor sighed as she lifted her gaze from the floor, not spotting Vanessa anywhere. Reaching for the doorknob, she tried to turn it open, but it was locked. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she jerked it violently, before bringing her closed fist up to knock against the glass. "Nessa! I'm locked out, let me in!" she yelled, pounding both of her hands against the door now. She then waited, before reaching into her back pockets, searching furiously for her key. "Dammit, I left it inside," she muttered under her breath, before pounding against the door again. "Come on, Vanessa!" She knew that she was home because her car was parked outside and there wasn't really anything in walking distance. She stepped back a little to glance towards the mailboxes, but didn't see a soul, before crossing her arms over her chest and standing there at the door, her hair falling into her eyes.
Taylor knew better than anyone that you shouldn't approach someone when they were angry. But this was Vanessa, her roommate and confidant, her new best friend. Her image of her wasn't phased by this display, but she was concerned. "Nessa, what are you doing?" she asked softly, her arms crossed lightly over her chest as she finally stepped into the room. She didn't really acknowledge her clothes on the floor, stepping right over them and moving to stand near the closet. Her gaze moved to the teddy bear, breaking her focus for a moment as she remembered the memories behind the plush inanimate object. It was hard to get close to someone in this way, because it got to a point where everything reminded you of the other person. Every little thing. She sighed as she looked back at Vanessa, before moving over to sit on the edge of their bed, awaiting for the rest of her stuff to be on the floor.
"I guess what I should be asking is what did I do? Did I forget to take out the trash? Maybe leave the water running or a light on?" she asked as she tilted her head slightly to the side in curiosity, before messing with her lower lip lightly with her upper set of teeth. "Tell me." vanessa dana kelley wait till the day you finally s e ei've been h e r e waiting patiently c r o s s i n g my fingers and my t's She cried on my s h o u l d e r begging please "God damn it!" She sobbed and started to tug on her black hair, her blue eyes gushing hot tears down her face. She thought about so many different things, possibly even leaving the apartment. The thought of not living here was really tugging at her heartstrings, because she didn't want to wake up every morning and not see Tay's face. She shook her head as she looked up, hearing a loud banging on the door. Taylor. She shook her head, her jaw setting as she walked out of her bedroom door slowly, listening as the banging got louder and louder, and the sound of Tay's voice made her heart shatter all over again. She licked her lips as she felt more tears roll down her face. Why now?
Vanessa walked toward the door, seeing the woman standing there in the sunlight. She shook her head again as she reached the door, her hand hesitantly going to the door before she unlocked it. She stepped away from the door, her nostils flaring as she shuddered, walking away from her as she walked back to her bedroom and screamed out in anger. It was short, but it was loud as she entered her room and went straight to her closet. She was beginning to think she was being irrational right now, in fact, she knew she was, but her heart was broken. What do you do when you have your heart broken by someone you thought you loved? You freak.
Vanessa ripped open her closet and she beginning the jealous girlfriend routine. She did it Eric once, but she never thought she would ever have to do this with Tay. She sniffled as she ripped clothing off hangers and tossed them to the floor. Taylor's Rancid sweatshirt, her t-shirts, a pair of her jeans, and the sweatshirt she gave to Nessa the day she moved in. She growled and slammed it down on the floor and ran her hands up her face, shaking her head. She then looked to the teddy bear and she bit down on her lip as her jaw set again in frustration and sadness.
"Nothing, I was just stupid to think that what we had was more than...this." She sobbed, flustered as she grabbed the stuffed animal and looked down at it as she held it in her hands before she looked to Taylor, her blue eyes gushing tears again as she looked away fast.
"The other woman...I just...I felt like we had something...that we were fall--" She stopped herself and dropped the stuffed animal and shook her head, her hands going to her face. Why did this always happen? Why did she always end up without love? She didn't understand this and she suddenly didn't want to. She ran her hand under her eyes as she tried to compose herself. She had fallen in love with Taylor and now things were going to hell. Was she going to move out now? She couldn't stay here with Taylor and Mason, not when she felt like this. Not when was in love with Taylor and it was only one sided. It broke Vanessa's heart and she felt tears forming in her eyes again as she whimpered.

Taylor Judith MaddoxYou've seen the w o r s t in me now, I'm all a l o n e , see?
You l o s t me somehow, and what we're f i g h t i n gFor is p e a c e , are you s t i l l in love with me? Taylor could feel her heart in her throat, which was a fairly new feeling with her, and she didn't like it at all. Her green eyes watched her carefully as she spoke, focusing on her lips, the ones that she had kissed on their first night as roommates. It was one of those spontaneous moments, acting purely on impulse, and instead of pushing her away, Vanessa had invited her into her bed. She was starting to think that maybe the other woman should have known better and kicked her out to the couch. She didn't really deserve her. At least, that's how she was making her feel right now. But she didn't know where they were in their relationship. She was one of those clueless people that dropped all the signs, but didn't know how to pick it up when it came from others. She saw it now though.
She could see the pain, frustration, and ultimately, sadness in her roommate's captivating gaze and she chastized herself mentally for making her feel that way.
But why was she feeling that way? Taylor honestly didn't know. It wasn't until Vanessa mentioned another woman that she began to understand what was going on. It dawned on her that Nessa believed that they were in a relationship. And to a certain extent, she could see that, because she felt that way too. She bit her lower lip at the sign of Nessa's tears trickling down her flawless face, ones which she had promised to never cause. And here she was, breaking her promises again, but what else was new? "Nessa... Nessa, baby," Taylor spoke quickly as she rose from her spot on the bed, trudging right over her clothes without a care as she moved over to place her hands on her roommate's shoulders. "Nessa, please," she spoke again, softer this time, barely above a whisper.
"She's not coming back. Whatever you think you saw... nothing happened. I swear. I even told her that I could never love her," she heard herself say, but surprised even herself with her words. Her gaze moved down to the bear on the floor for a moment, before looking back up at Vanessa and gently resting her forehead against hers, almost tasting the salt in her tears with how close she was. If she lashed out or pushed her away, she wouldn't care. She needed to talk to her, to make her see that she shouldn't take back her feelings. Because she had just realized that it was all she had left. Vanessa was the only real thing left going for her. "Because I..." vanessa dana kelley wait till the day you finally s e ei've been h e r e waiting patiently c r o s s i n g my fingers and my t's She cried on my s h o u l d e r begging please What was a girl supposed to think when she walks into her apartment to see the girl that she was falling in love with, in the arms of another woman. Vanessa had just come in at the worst possible time and now she felt like her heart was breaking repeatedly into a thousand different pieces, wishing that she could have been blissfully ignorant to the entire situation. She felt like an idiot, however, seeing as how the two women never really declared that they were an item. But, like the moron Vanessa was, she just assumed that when someone slept in the same bed with you, hugged you, kissed you, did things for you, it meant that you were seeing each other. She had been happy, thinking that she was with this other girl, hoping that she was finally free to be happy, until the rug was ripped out from under her.
Vanessa wanted to push Taylor away, make the girl understand how she was really feeling. When the word baby left her lips, Vanessa wanted to scream and slap Taylor, but thank god she didn't because of the words that left Taylor's mouth next. Vanessa softened up as she stared at Taylor, her blue eyes welling up with tears slowly as Taylor spoke. She listened as she said nothing happen, that the woman wasn't ever coming back, and the fact that she couldn't love this mystery girl. Suddenly, her stomach was fluttering and she could feel her heart slowly start to reassemble after feeling stupid for breaking in the first place. Then again, people lied didn't they? They did what they could to stay out of the dog house. However, when Vanessa looked into Taylor's eyes, she saw that she was telling the truth. She could feel it in her heart that Taylor wasn't lying to her and she could feel herself feeling better.
"You...what?" Vanessa asked, even though she had a slight idea of what she meant. Was she really going to say it? Vanessa stood there, staring into Taylor's eyes carefully. She took in everything significant to this moment in her life. The way Taylor's eyes pled to her, the way their bodies were so close, the way Taylor's hands felt against her, the way their heads were pressed together in an intimate moment before Vanessa reached up and placed her hands on both sides of Taylor's beautiful face. She stared into the green orbs that she's grown so accostumed to staring into at night. She was in love with Taylor, she just didn't know when it all began. Maybe it was the moment the two of the met, love and first sight kind of deal. She would believe it, every word, because her love for Taylor was becoming the most incredible and painful feeling in her life. Yet she never wanted to let it go, ever.
"Because I love you.." Vanessa whispered, a tear trickling down her face as she blurted it out. She knew that Taylor was trying to speak, but she had to let it out. Even if Taylor wasn't going to say it to her, she had to say it to Tay. She needed to let her know, she just had to, or she wouldn't be able to live with herself. Being in love hurt more than anything in the world, but it was more amazing than anything anyone can ever experience in their lives. A life without love wasn't worth living. It just wasn't.

Taylor Judith MaddoxYou've seen the w o r s t in me now, I'm all a l o n e , see?
You l o s t me somehow, and what we're f i g h t i n gFor is p e a c e , are you s t i l l in love with me? Taylor wasn't sure how to act in a situation like this one. She had never been one for long-term relationships, so the thought of hurting her roommate because she was hanging out with an ex-girlfriend was a new guilt to handle. They had kissed once, yes, because she let her emotions get the best of her in the heat of the moment, but she tried to flee from having to feel anything for an extended amount of time. She didn't want to fall for Vanessa, only because she was scared of what that would mean in the long-run. When they fought, it would be harder, because she didn't like to see her girl cry. They might even have to sleep in seperate beds at one point during these senseless battles, and as childish as it sounded, she had gotten used to her scent and body heat when she lay beside her.
Her green eyes were often transfixed on her flat stomach as it moved vertically in a gentle pattern while Vanessa was sleeping. It was simple. She just couldn't sleep without her.
Taylor hadn't led her on. When she did the things that swept Vanessa off of her feet, and somehow managed to sneak her way into the other woman's heart to steal a part for herself, she'd done them because it felt right. Being around her made her feel right, good, and satisfied. It was funny if you thought about it, because she was so used to relationships based solely on sex that now when she found herself smiling constantly around this woman, without any sensual contact between the two besides kissing, she was stumped. What was it about this girl that had kept her indoors for the most part since they'd moved in? She had rejected her ex's advances, even if she knew that if she had accepted, it might've worked out. But would she have been as happy as she was here with Vanessa, tangled up in this web that had her repeating words and phrases? No.
She wasn't the best at serious conversations. She could bitch out a person faster than they could blink, make someone laugh when they were down, but put her infront of a crying woman and she fell to pieces. It was apparent in her eyes that she didn't know what she was doing, for she had skipped the cliche movie lines and started speaking from a place that hadn't been tapped into since... well, not for a long time. It was dungeon in there, her heart trapped in a cage, and although she could be sweet and caring, it clenched at the thought of love. But how else could she be with the person that she loved the most, if she didn't risk everything?
A knot had formed in her throat by the time Vanessa tried to get her to continue the sentence that had died out before it ever had a chance to leave. Her green eyes tried to take charge, trying to tell the other woman the things that her lips wouldn't speak, but Taylor didn't feel that it was getting across well enough. She closed her eyes tightly with a sharp intake of breath when she felt a pair of hands against her face. The sting inflicted by her foster brother internally flared up for a moment, but when the hands didn't move or cause pain, she slowly opened them again. Her words came unexpectedly, but it suddenly felt as if she was flying and falling at the same time, a strong tug of gravity happening in her chest, her spirit trying to gain control.
Her right hand slowly moved up her shoulder, and her neck, until it reached her tear, cupping her cheek in her hand as her thumb gently stroked it off of her flesh. "Because I need you," she finally continued in her low, gentle voice as her lips brushed against Vanessa's nose in a gentle eskimo kiss. "I need to be around you, to hear your voice, to fall asleep with you... I didn't mean to hurt you, Nessa. And I realize that I'm... I'm falling for you... that I've been falling for you for a while now, and I just..." Her courage was waning verbally, so she moved her hands down from her shoulders to wrap around her heaving body, her lips pressing against hers in a gentle, sweet kiss. There was no urgency or desperation, because she knew that they weren't going anywhere...
She knew that she would never leave her. ( LYRICS ) dreamer - uh huh her ( TAG ) nessa-love aka bree-a-bean ( WORD COUNT ) -- w/o codes ftw ( NOTES ) i heart them too, they ish love.

vanessa dana kelley wait till the day you finally s e ei've been h e r e waiting patiently c r o s s i n g my fingers and my t's She cried on my s h o u l d e r begging please Vanessa never felt this in love with another person than she did with Taylor. The way the other girl made her skin hum, how her heart leapt when she walked through the door, all the silly things that love did to another person. It was all there, right in her face, but she was too slow to actually say something to the other girl about it. She waited until things looked like the chance was missed. But now, as the two women stood before each other she never felt so vulnerable in her entire life. She wanted to be with Taylor more than anything, but maybe blurting out that she loved her wasn't the best way to go about it.
She stood there, like a harmless bunny set out in front of lions when she felt Taylor's hand on her face and brushing a tear from her face. The contact was weclomed as she looked into Taylor eyes. She watched with her breath caught in her throat before the words flowed out of Taylor's mouth like a river of words that only made her heart skip a beat.
"Because I need you, I need to be around you, to hear your voice, to fall asleep with you... I didn't mean to hurt you, Nessa. And I realize that I'm... I'm falling for you... that I've been falling for you for a while now, and I just..."
Then their lips met in a sweet, slow kiss and she just kissed the other woman back, her hand cupping Taylor's face as she kissed her back just as gently. She never felt like this before and everything else seemed like it was falling back into place. Vanessa took another step closer to Taylor, her hands cupping the woman's face before she pulled away slowly. Her blue gaze settled on Taylor's, the two girls sharing an intimate stare before she sighed, her features softening.
"I'm sorry I freaked out on you." She said softly, her fingers slipping through Taylor's hair as she fought to find the right words to say to her. She wanted to apologize for getting jealous, but she wasn't sorry. It showed Taylor that she wanted to be with her, that she wanted to spend her life with her. Sometimes being jealous wasn't a terrible thing. All she knew was that she was going to have to be more clear with how she interpreted things. She couldn't jump to nasty conclusions anymore it only made things worse for her and the people around her. Vanessa slowly let her hands move down Taylor's face before resting on the sides of her neck.
"But I want to be with you, Taylor Judith Maddox. I want to be your one and only...and I want you to be mine.." She said softly, her hair falling into her face as she just looked into her eyes. She wanted nothing more than to make the last hour disappear into nothingness. Pretend that it never happened, but that wasn't possible. However, they could start over with smiles on their faces and love that is made clear to them both.

Taylor Judith MaddoxYou've seen the w o r s t in me now, I'm all a l o n e , see?
You l o s t me somehow, and what we're f i g h t i n gFor is p e a c e , are you s t i l l in love with me? Taylor knew that getting into a relationship with Vanessa would be a great adjustment, not just for herself, but for the both of them. She wasn't one for commitment and Vanessa's last boyfriend was a complete asshole, to say the least. Trust was a big issue for the both of them. It was something that had to be earned. But they had lived together for a while now and it just felt right. Waking up beside her, eating breakfast together, and even getting caught in a mess of legs when Mason and her terrible sense of timing walked on them from time to time. That's how she wanted to live her life. She wanted her to be a part of it. So although Vanessa may have jumped the gun with her heartfelt words, ones that would have made even the best of players wide-eyed, run for their lives, and never look back, Taylor didn't give herself a chance to second guess it. They both deserved it, they both deserved to be happy.
The makeup kiss made a haze fall over her green eyes, losing all sense of direction and any previous train of thought. If it would always be this good, she might even start to look forward to their fights. Though, of course, the tears were a big negative. She felt her lover take a step closer, closing the small gap between them, both of her warm hands on her face before they parted. She was almost sad that it ended, but she didn't say a word. She just watched her closely, memorizing the way that her hair fell over her face and how blue her eyes looked. Even the taste that lingered on her lips as her tongue darted out to collect the remnants, before she pressed them together, just listening to her voice.
"Don't be," Taylor said simply with a small shake of her head, her hands moving up to slide down Vanessa's arms slowly and then resting loosely around her waist, enjoying the sensation of having her hair played with. As her fingertips travelled down her face, she closed her eyes briefly, before her words made her open them again. What else had they missed? She bit the corner of her lips, a grin beginning to filter through. Oh, that. "That's good, because I only want to be with you, Vanessa Dana Kelley... for a long time now, before I knew it... I'm yours," she said as she stared back at her, a smile now creeping into her expression. Her pale hand moved down to entwine her fingers with Vanessa's, turning her head to look at their bed. She felt emotionally drained, not having noticed the tears that had fallen from her own eyes.
"Come to bed, Nessa," she whispered to the raven haired beauty, though it was more of a gentle plea than a demand. She leaned down to collect the discarded teddy bear and moved over to place it on their nightstand, silently dismissing the rest of the mess on the floor, before letting go of her hand and slipping under the covers. She rested her head of dark hair on her curled arm as she lay on her side, facing Vanessa's side of the bed. Even that had been established long ago. It was almost like an unspoken rule between a couple. After feeling the weight shifting in the bed, her green eyes began to blink slow enough that they fell closed. The last thing she felt was a pair of arms that snaked around her slender body as she fell into a deep slumber, passing out as she was surrounded by the familiar scent of her now official girlfriend.
Flashes. She heard a crying baby as she looked up into a bright fluorescent lighting overhead, the white overwhelming her vision with every flash. There were people flocking around in medical garb. For all she knew, she was dying. It certainly felt that way, her muscles contracting and contorting until she felt nothing. Everything blacked out. She had changed her position when things came back into view, sitting up with a small, fragile being in her arms. He smiled up at her. Hushed whispers distracted her for a moment, and when she looked back down, the newborn was gone. "Where did he go?" She felt tears streaming down her face as she began to scream out, but the room was empty. "Help! They took him! They took my baby!" Her arms flailed helplessly as she wept.
Taylor bolted up in bed, her loose black shirt sticking to her skin as she tried to regain her breathing. Her throat felt raspy, as if she had been screaming, so she peeled the covers off of her and bounded out into the hallway. Running her hand down her face, she moved into the kitchen and poured herself a glass of water, before leaning back against the counter. The light of the fridge illuminated the room as she stood there, dipping her head back lightly as she downed some of the liquid, squeezing her eyes shut to prevent the hot gush of tears from falling again. She went back to bed and tried to fall back asleep. When she did, the same dream occured and she bolted up again, this time more intense as she felt like she was in an endless cycle of groundhog day, a choked gasp leaving her lips. What the hell was going on? ( LYRICS ) dreamer - uh huh her ( TAG ) nessa-love aka bree-a-bean ( WORD COUNT ) animal crackers w/o codes ftw ( NOTES ) slightly disturbing, i'd freak too, lol.
