Back in black I hit the sack I've been too long I'm glad to be back Yes, I'm let loose From the noose It was almost dark when Trevor began walking back to his boat which was tied up on the docks. The only reason he had the boat was because his father left it to him in his will and that was the only reason he was the captain of the boat. Who ever heard of someone who was captain at 25 years old? Not many because he was one of the rare few, and lucky for him he was at least qualified to be…He was great at welding and fixing stuff on deck, and in the engine room, and then he knew how the lobster moved underneath the water. His father truly taught him everything he knew, and that’s what made him qualified for the job. Currently though he was walking back to his boat and a beauty of a boat it was, probably around 90 feet long, with three rooms underneath. Of course he got the biggest ones and the rest of the deckhands, when fishing would get the rest depending on seniority.
None of that mattered right now because he had been back from the open sea for about two weeks and made some money to enjoy himself. The beauty of living on his boat was he didn’t have to pay rent, which meant he got more money for himself and who didn’t like that? No one in there right mind would be the answer to that question in his opinion and checking the mail boxes before the docks, and he hadn’t gotten any mail. “No surprise there…” besides his mother and sister no one else ever really sent him mail to the docks, because truth be told everyone he spoke too he saw around town most of the time.
Getting to his boat he used the makeshift bridge to get aboard and threw his dinner and drink on the nearest chair. He was going to eat dinner outside, play some music and just watch the sunset over the ocean he enjoyed so much. Running down into the kitchen below he found his radio, which already had his three favorite CD’s in it and walked back onto the deck. Finding one of the nearest outlets up top, he turned it on and began to play ‘Back in Black by AC/DC’. With that he walked back over to the chair, grabbed the bag, sat down kicked his feet up and pulled out two foot long sandwiches, a bag of chips and some pepsi. He didn’t look like it but he could eat quite a lot which was why he got two foot longs, and took a big bite of the first as he sang the lyrics of the song to himself. “yes I’m back in Black…”
Word Count: Lost count… Note: not my best but as you know I am terrible at starting these things… Lyrics: Back in Black by AC/DC

The sun was setting and Lizzy was feeling extremely anxious. She sighed as she walked down the boardwalk, making her way toward the docks. She attire was pretty laid back. She wore a pair of ripped up jean shorts, a white tank top that accentuated her curves in all the right ways. Her long red hair hung around her shoulders as she walked, her hands shoved into the shallow pockets of her jean shorts. She was restless to say the least and the redhead just needed a little time to think. The sun was setting beautifully on the horizon and she just felt a sort of calmness wash over her. Sure, the docks were a scary place for her, seeing as how she couldn't swim. Yes, the woman who seemed to have everything, was incapable of swimming. Beach parties? Oh, she's there, but far from the water. She doesn't get very far before she has to get out of the water. She's deathly afraid of it, and she wouldn't dare go out in water past the height of her hips.
She looked up at the sound of AC/DC carrying in the air and she knew exactly who it was. Trevor, her friend's older brother. A raised eyebrow away and Lizzy was making her way toward the music. Her hips swayed gently as the redhead walked down the way before her brown eyes fell on the large boat that Trevor Walker called home. She sauntered up to the side, her hands still in her pockets as she watched him sit himself down and begin to eat his food, singing gently along with the song.
"Well look who we have here? Trevor Walker. Why aren't you a sight for sore eyes." Lizzy said with a grin as she reached up and placed on of her hands on the side of the boat. Ringlets of red hair danced in the gentle breeze as she looked up at the boat's captain with an intriguing look on her face. To say that Lizzy wasn't the least bit attracted to Trevor would be a bull faced lie. Trevor was a babe, but Liz wasn't going to throw herself at him. She may be a bit of an outgoing type, but she wasn't a slut either.
"Mind if a girl joined you?" She asked as she pouted gently as her lower lip jutted out sweetly. Pouts were a secret weapon that girls used often to get what they wanted from the boys. It was hard to deny Lizzy's pout, but that didn't mean it wouldn't ever happen in her lifetime. Sometimes, men were just immune to them. However, Lizzy was holding out a type of hope that Trevor wouldn't be able to resist it. At least not for a while.

Back in black I hit the sack I've been too long I'm glad to be back Yes, I'm let loose From the noose Sandwiches, Trevor has really gotten use to them after so much time at sea. They’re quick and easy to make and even now that he was back on land he couldn’t stop eating them. The two in front of him right now were two of his favorites, chicken teriyaki and cheese steak. The mere smell of the two of them made his mouth water and decided on eating the cheese steak one first. Opening the wrapper he grabbed half of it and began to bite into it. Man was it good, and eating it with a Pepsi made it even better. It made sense as to why most commercials involving any type of sub had at least one second worth of a Pepsi can or cup. Amazing what the simple taste of the cheese steak could make him think of because he rarely thought of commercials, and downing some of the soda he began to sing along with the song more.
Exactly as he was about to take another bite he heard a voice, and this voice was hard to forget because of the person it belonged too. Hearing what she said he quickly wiped his mouth with a near by napkin before turning to her with a smile on his face. Could never forget her face for obvious reasons, and because Elizabeth happened to be one of his sisters friends. Standing up he dusted himself off and just looked at her for a second before saying anything. “Elizabeth…surprised to see you here…” he told her truthfully although he wasn’t the least be disappointed by her sudden appearance. Then she asked if she could join him and truth be told besides his sister not to many people who weren’t part of the crew came aboard the boat, but with the pout she gave there was no way he could turn her down. He wasn’t going to make it look like he would give in easy and thought about it for a few seconds before nodding his head. “Sure…I can use some company…” he told her walking over to help her onto the boat. This was going to be one of the handful of times he got to talk to her alone, and he found Elizabeth very interesting, and beautiful.
After helping her on the boat he went to one of the doors on deck and pulled out another chair for her to sit on. Lucky for him the chairs were comfortable because if he had those steel chairs he would have most likely invited her below deck to the table down there. “Got a chair for you…” he told her opening it up for her. It was one of those camping chairs people normally use to sit down while they’re grilling; bottom line was it is comfortable. “And I have an extra sandwich if you want some?” He asked offering his second sandwich to her as he sat down right next to her. A women with a good appetite was always a good thing but for all he knew she might have eaten dinner already so he wouldn’t be hurt if she turned it down. A detail that might have gone unnoticed was how close he placed the chairs to each other, and that was how he wanted them.

Lizzy could feel her heart start to swell when she looked up to see that smile on Trevor Walker's face. He was one of the best looking guys she's ever seen in her life and she wasn't exaggerating by any means. Trevor wasn't a grade A hottie. Then again, Lizzy wasn't going to just tell him that now was she? Nah, she preferred to keep that type of thinking to herself unless she felt like she had some sort of future after uttering those type of words. Lizzy wasn't the type of girl to throw herself at people, that just wasn't how she did things. However, when she thought about a future with Trevor, she always found herself thinking about his sister. What would she say? Would she be okay with it? Or would she be srongly against it and forbid Lizzy from ever talking to him again? Would she listen, was another question. Lizzy grinned as Trevor helped her onto the boat and she just looked around, her hands running down her sides gently.
"Thank you." Lizzy said as she sat herself down after Trevor retrieved the chair for her. He was a pure gentleman, it was hard to believe he was that sweet. Usually when men looked half as good as Trevor, they were total pigs and only after one thing. She has often wondered if Trevor was one of those guys, only thinking about sex when the girl was really looking for a relationship with him. The word 'relationship' was a tough one to swallow for most people, but it was something that Lizzy craved. She wanted to find that one person to spend the rest of her life with. However, in a small town like Wells Beach, finding that specific person was really hard to come by unless you were Teagan and Sawyer. She's seen them from time to time, they were one of the couples in this town that looked like they would be together for the rest of their lives. Lizzy's attention was then drawn to the sandwich that Trevor offered to her. It smelled really good and she hadn't eaten just yet.
"Oh thank you so much. I haven't had dinner yet." She said softly, gently taking the sandwich from him and biting into it a bit. It tasted better than it smelled so Lizzy was content. She licked her lips then looked back to Trevor with a small giggle as she brushed red locks out of her face before setting the sandwich down. She looked around for a moment before leaned her head against her palm slowly.
"So, how are you doing? I haven't seen you since your last trip. Your sister told me that you've been home for a while now. You don't call, you don't write." She said with mild sarcasm with a small getting at the end. Lizzy liked to joke around, that was obvious, and she was never rude to someone on purpose unless they truly deserved it.

Back in black I hit the sack I've been too long I'm glad to be back Yes, I'm let loose From the noose Trevor was a class act and he got the feeling Elizabeth as noticing that. The only reason he didn’t have a girlfriend right now was because not to many women like it when there boyfriend is out at sea for long periods of time. He hadn’t had a girlfriend for quite some time now that he thought about it, maybe when he was twenty and that was about the time he became a full share deckhand on the boat. The longest he was gone then was about three weeks, and he came back to see his girlfriend with someone else. Since then he chooses his women wisely, and in that time span he hadn’t found one worth going after. Elizabeth was one he thought was possible, but she might be off limits seeing as she was his sisters friend. Then again since when did her sister’s opinion matter when it came to who he dated?
Guess it was too soon to be thinking that way to begin with because he hadn’t the slightest idea whether she thought of him that way. “I was hoping you hadn’t had dinner yet…would be awkward having to eat in front of you…” he told her with a little laugh as he took a bite of his sandwich and then when he noticed her laugh he laughed a little louder. Elizabeth truly was a walking beauty, and he noticed her put the sandwich down so he did the same. He got the feeling some questions were going to come, or at least some light conversation and that was fine by him. After all, he wanted to use this to get to know her a little better.
“Been doing good, always good when you make it home safe and sound…” he told her with a nod of his head. It was true, he had been home for a while and he hadn’t called or written to her, but he thought she might be more interested in other things instead of him coming home from a fishing trip. “Yeah…didn’t think you would be looking forward to me calling or writing…” he told her with a grin. “And I thought you might be busy with work or something…” It was the truth so he was going to say it, everyone was always busy and he didn’t think she would have had, or at least made time, to talk to him. Truth be told, what he was basically saying is he thought she would have had a relationship by now. A girl as good looking as her must have a lot of guys after her…“Next time I’ll call though…How have you been? Anything new or interesting?” He was never the best at small talk, but his second question was the one he was more interested in hearing answered. Why? Well because if she had a boyfriend now she would probably mention him in the answer to that one…
Word Count: More then 250 words Note: Not my best, but they’ll get better.

Boyfriends. Yeah, they weren't really top priority for Lizzy. She didn't date, which may come as a shocker to some people. Lizzy wasn't the type of girl to get wasted and take a guy home for the night. She may like to party, but she surprisingly partied in moderation. She a lot of the time, stayed home and played on the piano, or curled up with a book, or god forbid, slept a little bit. Boys weren't really a big deal for Lizzy, but a boy was beginning to creep into her mind quite often. She wasn't going to tell Caroline, she didn't wanna know what she would think if she found out that she was interested in her brother like this. Romance like this was a little treatcherous, but for some reason, Lizzy was becoming more and more spontaneous.
"Oh don't worry about it. I wouldn't have minded." She said before the pair decided that feasting at the moment wasn't a good idea. She wanted to talk to him, ask how he was, when he was taking off again, maybe milk him for more information that could work to her benefit. She didn't want to get into a relationship with him if he was seeing someone already, or if he wasn't interested, or if he wasn't going to be around enough for her. She didn't want to fall for a man who would easily slip into bed with a girl in a different port somewhere. The thought caught her heart in a slight jealous twinge, but it wasn't like he was her boyfriend already.
Lizzy listened to Trevor as he spoke, saying he didn't know that she was looking forward to his writing or calling her. Well, of course, she wanted to know if he was still alive. She wanted to know these things, since she was interested in his life. She wanted to know if he was okay on a boat all alone. Sure, he was around other guys, but that had to be lonely, no one wanted to be stuck with a bunch of guys on a boat for weeks on end.
"I always look forward to your calls or letters. For the record, I wasn't busy with anything, I have no life." Lizzy said with a small giggle as she looked down at the sandwich before looking away from it. She wasn't starving like he probably was, but she wasn't really up for eating it at that moment. She would later, but right now, she was more interested in what Trevor had to say. She really liked being around him, he made her feel safe. Not to mention, he was gorgeous, and she liked him. She giggled when he said he'd call next time. He better, or she'll feel bad if he didn't. Then he asked what was new and if anything interesting was going on. She thought about this for a moment. What was he getting at? Was he asking what she was up to, or who? The thought was silly, but she wanted to know if he was even mildly interested in her. She was single and if Trevor was willing to start something, she was more than willing.
"Nothing interesting with me. I go home, play the piano, read, sleep, then wake up and repeat. My social life consists of Caroline...and you." She said with a smirk as she ripped off a piece of the sandwich and placed it into her mouth with a sweet look on her face as she looked away.

Back in black I hit the sack I've been too long I'm glad to be back Yes, I'm let loose From the noose Normally Trevor wouldn’t be very straight forward…well he wasn’t being straight forward actually but normally he did a good job of keeping the true reasons as to why he asked something hidden. Right now, all of that was out the window, he was really curious as to whether or not Elizabeth was seeing anyone, because well, he was very interested in her. This was why he was willing to take a few extra…well they weren’t risks exactly since nothing big was on the line, but chances. Elizabeth was well worth it in his opinion and once he found out she was interested he was going to go for it.
What she said was funny…of course she was probably being modest in saying she had no life but it made him laugh. He found it very hard to believe she didn’t have a life, at least one better then the one he had going right now. Even though the money was good it was never enough to cancel out how often you put your life on the line out in the open ocean. It really did make a lot of sense as to why Elizabeth was afraid of it…“I’m sure you’re just being modest when you say you don’t have a life…” he told her still laughing a little. He would definitely call her though, he has her number on speed dial and now that he knew she wanted him to call he intended on using it. Just being able to talk to her alone like right now was good, because he wouldn’t have to worry about other people stepping in and getting her attention while he was trying to talk to her. Of course when he thinks of other people he only thinks of his sister…
When she told him about her daily schedule he had to admit, he was smiling on the inside. The thought of her life basically consisting of him and his sister made him very happy. “Well at least I’m involved…” it was the only thing he could think of saying and he probably could have come up with something better. Just to hide his embarrassment he took a big bite of his sandwich before saying anything else. He was actually a little nervous, and he never got nervous. Not even the open ocean got him nervous when he was out there but here he was nervous at what to say next to Elizabeth. “Looks like we’re both in the same boat though…I just fish…and when I’m not I’m here doing nothing…only you and my sister seem to care when I get back…” he told her taking another small bite of the sandwich.
“Won’t be going out for another few months…decided to take a break…give the guys a vacation to stay with there families…” The point wasn’t to let the guys stay with there families, he was just using that as an excuse to tell her he would be in town a lot over the next few months. “You got any plans over the next few weeks?”
Word Count: Enough Note: He’s dropping hints… Lyrics: Good ones…

elizabeth olivia reynoldsunder the s u n I stand Over the w i n g s of fallen angels I can't believe the things you s h o w me In my d r e a m s I have you next to me
What was Trevor trying to get at when he said at least he was involved? Lizzy looked at him carefully as he shoved his own sandwich into his mouth. Trevor wasn't one to be straight forward, seeing as how he was a man of mystery. She knew him as the one to beat around the bush and never really say what he was really feeling. He was a guy, what guy spouted off how he really felt? They always had to make things difficult for women, seeing as how they all have it in their minds that women like complicated. Lizzy liked simple, she liked it when a guy was all, 'hey, i'm into you, you into me?', it was straight to the point and it let her know where the other one stood. There wasn't this touch and go crap that really frustrated her.
“Looks like we’re both in the same boat though…I just fish…and when I’m not I’m here doing nothing…only you and my sister seem to care when I get back…”
Lizzy smiled as she looked away, feeling a bit special that she was one of the few in Trevor's life. It let her know that he was surprisingly single. Trevor was a very good looking guy so it was hard to believe he didn't have some blonde chick drooling all over him and giving the bitch glare at any girl who showed mild interest in him. She let herself take a bite out of the sandwich as she tried to think of things to say to him. What else could she say without being blatantly obvious about her true feelings? Would he appreciate it sheer honesty, or was he into the whole guessing game? She had no idea, but she was very confused as to how to go about this.
Lizzy liked that he had decided to give all his men the time off to spend it with their families. It was sweet of him, seeing as how their families were probably missing them like crazy. She knew that she missed Trevor everytime he went out onto the water. She was deathly afraid of the ocean, so she couldn't handle being on a boat. She liked it like this, grounded and anchored in place. She couldn't be on this thing it if was in the open sea.
"Well, how kind of you." She said in regards to letting his men have time off before she looked up at him as he asked what she was up to for the next few weeks. Oh man, what was she up to? So much, there was a new book she got in the mail from a friend that she was planning on digging into, that was pretty much all she had planned. She looked down at the sandwich in her grasp before looking back to Trevor, shrugging her shoulders.
"I wasn't really planning on doing much. You know me, always curling up with a book or something. Why? What are you doing?" She asked, eating a bit of the sandwich as she tried to keep herself from girlishly giggling for no reason.

Back in black I hit the sack I've been too long I'm glad to be back Yes, I'm let loose From the noose The only reason that Trevor hadn’t ask her out just yet was because of one thing, the fact he had known her for some time now. The last thing he wanted was to ask her out on a date, then get an answer like, ‘your like a brother to me’ or ‘I think it would be to awkward since I’ve known you for so long.’ Those two things kept him beating around the bush like he is right now, because normally he’ll ask one thing before asking them out on a date, but here he was trying to get more and more hints out of her. Of course he could simply just go for it anyway, but he wanted to feel around first, get an idea whether she was interested or not first, and as always she was proving slightly difficult to read. Granted she was giggling a lot but other then that she wasn’t giving him much really, and even then maybe he just had something on his face…
When she mentioned how kind he was this time it was his time for a laugh, because if a new comer were to come on his boat and work, he’d probably be called an asshole…the thing about lobster fishing is you have to work a lot with little sleep. On average his crew probably sleeps 4 hours for every 40 hours. He was definitely an asshole but the feeling of being called kind brought a grin to his face. “I just have moments…that happened to be one of them…” he told her laughing afterwards. He might have more moments then he thinks, but to him he tended to be an ass way more then he was a nice guy, but that was only out on the water, right now he was being a nice guy, because well, it was how he was.
Then he, she answered his question and this was his chance to ask her out. Those two answers were ringing in the back of his head but if he didn’t go for it now chances were he’d let her walk away tonight and not ask her out. What if she was waiting for him to ask her out? Then it would be a great answer he would get from her, and right now that thought alone was going to make him ask her. “Don’t have any plans as of yet…just plan on cleaning the boat really…” he knew how that sounded, boring but it was actually very interesting some of the stuff you’ll find on the side or bottom of the boat.
Now was the time to go for it, and taking one last gulp of his soda he looked back over at her, and even now as he was about to ask her he got nervous again. Man she was so beautiful too, and as he put the can down he decided on just going for it. “Nothing special planned…but maybe, if you’re interested we could have dinner sometime? Like this Friday?” If she said yes he had to make sure the date was soon, and since he asked her for Friday it also gave him a chance, assuming she said yes and it went well, he could ask her out again plenty of times before he even started thinking of going back out to fish.
Word Count: more then 500 Note: He finally asked her out… WOOOO! Lyrics: I forgot, but they’re the same as before…

elizabeth olivia reynoldsunder the s u n I stand Over the w i n g s of fallen angels I can't believe the things you s h o w me In my d r e a m s I have you next to me
Trevor was always so charming, even if he wasn't trying to be. He was usually so wrapped up in his work, that he never really got around to dating girls here at Wells Beach. She knew that plenty of young women wouldn't say no to him, a face like his. He's a total babe, that was the god honest truth, but he just didn't seem to notice the women around here. That was why Lizzy refrained from asking him out, assuming that he either already had someone or he just wasn't interested in her. Yet now, as she sat there with him, she could feel this warm electricity coming from Trevor that she could only hope was a mutual attraction. She just was afraid that if she got into this relationship with him, that when he went on his trips, that things would happen. There had to be trust in a relationship, and she never wanted a reason not to trust Trevor. But when someone disappeared off for extended periods of time, sometimes you met people along the way. The thought stirred an upsetting feeling in the pit of her stomach.
Lizzy smiled as he said that he had his moments. He definitely did have his moments, they were often when it was around her. Lizzy couldn't think of a time when Trevor was ever mean to her. He wasn't a rude person, at least not around her. She liked how sweet he was, despite the lifestyle he led. Not many people who spent half their lives on a boat, fishing, were known for this kind hearts and easy natures. Fishermen were putting their lives on the line to catch fish for profit. The ocean was a treacherous place, not for the faint-hearted, especially not for her who was horribly afraid of the ocean.
"Boat cleaning, how exciting, I'm jealous." She said with a giggle as she looked at the sandwich. She wouldn't lie, she hoped that this evening would end with her walking away with a date. She couldn't deny her feelings for Trevor forever, it wouldn't be right in her eyes. She just wanted to know if there was even a chance of them ever becoming something more than frequent friends. She would be okay with staying just friends with him, but she would always feel like something was missing. Besides, whenever he looked at her with those green eyes, and she knew she would have been reduced to a puddle on the ground.
“Nothing special planned…but maybe, if you’re interested we could have dinner sometime? Like this Friday?”
Then, what Trevor said next shocked her a bit. Was he asking her out? A smile formed on the redhead's face as she looked down, tresses of red falling over her shoulders and into her face. Well, this was what she had wanted right? She wanted to date the rugged fisherman. She looked back to Trevor with a smirk on her beautiful face before sucking in her bottom lip, clasping it down with her front teeth.
"I think I would be very interested in dinner on Friday." She said with a smile. She licked her lips and smiled, looking away and rubbed her face gently before looking back to him. She was feeling a bit nervous, but she was still overcome with an excitement. Trevor Walker was asking her out and she felt her heart begin to flutter like crazy.
