DO THE HELEN KELLER AND TALK WITH YOUR HIPS
"well my full name is matthew william roberts. my mom always loved the name matthew hence why it was chosen but as for william, that was my dad's brother's name. people usually call me matt, matty, roberts or anything that they can come up with."
AWESOME! SO ARE YOU MALE OR FEMALE? OR SOMETHING ELSE? YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO SURE NOWADAYS..
"i'm definitely male."
HOW OLD ARE YOU?
"i just turned twenty years old last month, my birthday was on february 13th and i'm a college freshman."
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
"i'm originally from san diego, california. i moved here a little while ago to attend college."
NOW MOVING ONTO WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE. HOW TALL ARE YOU, AND IF YOU DON'T MIND ME ASKING, HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH?
"i'm 5'9" right now, not sure if i'm still gonna grow but it'd be cool if i did. as for my weight i believe i'm some wheres around 150 pounds. i'm not exactly sure."
WHAT GENDER ARE YOU MOSTLY INTO: GUYS, GIRLS OR BOTH?
"i'm straight meaning i love the ladies!"
WHAT ARE YOU GOOD AT?
"making people laugh, basketball, listening to others, being sarcastic if that counts, most sports, school work (although he doesn't like it), playing guitar, singing, being a good boyfriend, staying calm."
COOL. WHAT ARE YOU NOT SO GOOD AT?
"saying no (pushover), speaking in front of large crowds, sleeping, dancing, drawing or anything like that, lying."
AWW, THAT SUCKS. WHAT DO YOU LIKE?"
"i love basketball, it was my life all through high school. i was even the captain of the team and i still play. i like having movie nights, playing video games, chinese food, comics, chocolate milkshakes, girls, flirting, hugs, playing music and singing (but not around people) and animals."
I LIKE SOME OF THOSE THINGS TOO! WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE?
"i don't like drugs, hangovers, dancing, young children, liars, cheaters, when i can't find something, lame music and of course when i can't play basketball."
I SEE. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU FEAR?
" i'm scared that i'll get in some tragic accident resulting in me never being able to play any sports ever again. that would be completely awful! spiders kind of bug me too."
WHAT ABOUT THE FUTURE, DO YOU HAVE ANY HOPES AND DREAMS?"
"i don't really know, people have always asked me that but i can never give a good answer because truthfully i haven't decided on anything yet. right now i'm in college so i'd just like to graduate, continue playing basketball maybe even become better at that and perhaps find that special someone."
GOOD LUCK WITH THOSE! OKAY, SO I LIKE ABIT OF GOSSIP. DO YOU HAVE ANY SECRETS? I WON'T TELL ANYONE.
"um i don't have that many secrets but i suppose one might be that back when i was fourteen i went through a depression. one of my favorite uncles died and i took it pretty hard. i ended up going to the hospital for a while bute after a couple months i was fine again. i still worry some times that it will pop back up again. i hope that it doesn't."
WOW. TELL ME A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR PERSONALITY. I WANNA KNOW WHAT YOU'RE LIKE AS A PERSON.
"well my parents have always said that i'm very mature, i tend to be calm and quiet most of the time. sarcasm is basically my first language, i use it so much that sometimes i don't even realize it. i'm a huge tease, i love joking around and making people laugh. i'm athletic obviously and finally when it comes to the ladies i'm a total gentleman. i'll pay for their meals, buy them gifts, open doors all of that stuff."
WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND?
"well looks catch my eye first. i love a girl with pretty eyes and a nice smile. but a sweet personality is a must too. i'd just like someone who i can be myself around, like i don't have to try and impress her. if they can take a joke, that helps too."
WELL I GUESS THAT PUTS ME OUT OF THE RUNNING. WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE IN A BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND?
"so i understand that girls tend to care about their appearance, i'm fine with that but if they care about it too much then it can get annoying. like if they are constantly looking at themselves in mirrors and adding more make up. it just bugs me. i joke a lot so they have to be able to take a joke, if they can't then that's not cool. cheaters and liars are definitely a no no."
OKAY, WELL I'M GOING TO ASK WHAT SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITES ARE NOW, OKAY?
"sure, that's fine with me."
FAVOURITE FOOD & DRINK?
"chinese food! and it's a tie between white milk and mountain dew."
FAVOURITE MOVIE & TV SHOW?
"the goonies and family guy."
FAVOURITE BAND/SINGER?
"the maine and taylor swift because she rocks."
FAVOURITE COLOUR?
"blue and red."
FAVOURITE LYRIC OR QUOTE?
"I'll be back." - Terminator II. haha."
THAT WAS FUN. TELL ME A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR PARENTS.
"my dad's name is david roberts, he's a lawyer and my mother is elizabeth. she's a stay at home mom which i always found cool because she bakes a lot of sweets."
DO YOU HAVE ANY SIBLINGS?
"actually i don't, i'm an only child."
TELL ME ABOUT A REALLY GOOD TIME IN YOUR LIFE.
" the best time was probably the first time i ever played basketball because after all that's where it started. my dad had bought me a net and a ball for christmas when i was six. once i made my first shot i've been hooked ever since."
THAT SOUNDS AWESOME. WHAT ABOUT A NOT-SO-GOOD TIME ON YOUR LIFE?
"the worse memory was when my uncle jim died. that was what caused my depression and in a way i've never been the same since due to the fact that i worry about becoming depressed again."
OH DEAR. I THINK THIS INTERVIEW IS OVER NOW. HAS ANYONE EVER TOLD YOU THAT YOU LOOK ALIKE LIKE ZAC EFRON? COS YOU REALLY DO. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.
"thank you, this has been an interesting experience."

The annual ski trip to Aspen. That was what most people have been talking about lately. It was major news and all of the conversations that revolved around it involve the question 'are you going?' Basically if you used no for your answer then you'd be classified as a loser. The reason being that basically everyone around, high school and college students alike planned on hitting the ski hills. Now Jase was fine with admitting the fact that he wasn't really sure about if he should go or not, at first. When he first heard about the trip the idea seemed cool yet if-y. There were many pros and cons to it. Lately things had been pretty tough for him after getting that unexpected phone call from his mother, the one he hadn't seen or heard from since he was five. Yeah that was awkward so since that happened getting away for a while seemed like a good thing to do. He wasn't that excited about rushing to some place cold but then he missed seeing the snow. Plus he had never learned how to ski or anything like that so it'd be fun. The more the thought of going went through his brain he finally ended up making the decision that he would go. After that any time someone would question him about it he'd be all 'YEAH MAN' because he was pumped for it. Jay found it very appealing and it excited him. He was even prepared for it. He actually bought some winter clothing. That was an odd thing for him as he hated shopping. There were only two good types of shopping, video game shopping and any type of shopping that was music related. Winter clothing was something he needed for this though hence why he had got some new, heavier jackets and different hats to wear.
The wait for the trip seemed to be dragging very slowly. It felt like it was taking forever but thankfully Jason didn't have to wait any longer. Today he was standing outside of the St. Regis Ski Resort. That was where all of the students were suppose to stay. There were already rooms booked for them, you had to stay with a room mate but Jason wasn't quite sure whose his was yet. It was very cold outside but right now he wasn't wearing much of his heavier clothing. Just a casual outfit, a hoodie and jeans with a jacket over it. He figured that it wouldn't be a good idea to wear some big winter coat because of the plane ride. It would've been very uncomfortable. It would've ruined the nice flight that he ended up having. It was actually his second flight ever so it was cool. He found flying fun. It was pretty intense, watching as the plane first picked up speed and then gently rose into the air. Watching the buildings and trees below you as they got smaller and smaller with each second. Plus flying through the clouds was wicked! They looked so cool. Jase was glad with that he got the window seat so that he could see all of that but during the flight he didn't just stare out the window. He also watched some of the complimentary free satellite television and ate a lot of snacks. All in all it had been a good time but he was even more glad with that he was now in Aspen. It was about time for him to enter the hotel. The cold was beginning to get to him not to mention his suitcase was rather heavy. So with that thought in his mind he used his free hand to push the main door open. Jason quickly made his way over to the front desk after stepping inside the hotel. There was a young woman standing behind the desk, talking very fast as she wrote something down on a piece of paper. She looked very stressed out which Jay found very hard to believe because this place looked amazing. He was only in the lobby but it still dazzled him. He could barely imagine what his room was going to be like.
The young Sawyer boy stood silently holding onto his luggage as he waited for the woman's attention. Once she was finished with the phone call she finally looked at him with a smile on her face, "Hi, welcome to the St. Regis Aspen Hotel. How may I help you?" the perky smile was still on her face the whole time she spoke. God knows how many times she had said that sentence to people. Probably millions and millions of times. "Um hi, Jason Sawyer checking in for the weekend, I'm one of the students from Florida Atlantic University" He explained with a shy tone of voice as he showed her his student id card. "Welcome Mr. Sawyer, you're in room 309" She replied as she stared at a computer screen. Looking back up at him from the screen she spoke once more while handing him a room key, "Enjoy your stay at the hotel, I hope you have a nice weekend" Jase smiled and nodded his head as he took the key, "Thanks.. you too" He said giving her a final smile before heading of to the elevator. A short elevator ride later and Jason was finally in the room. He walked inside and noticed that there were no other bags in the room so clearly his room mate hadn't arrived yet. So while he was alone he dropped his suitcase by the bed just stood there in awe as he looked around. Coming from a poor family things like this seemed so incredible to him. There was a huge high definition television, a mini fridge that after inspecting it was found to be full of food. There was only one bed though. He'd have to sleep with a guy on this trip? That was awkward. Oh well, he wasn't going to let that ruin his vacation. Making his way over to the bed he kicked off his boots and then began laying down on it. While laying there he grabbed the remote and turned on the television, flicking through the channels while he waited to see who his room mate ended up being.
