Looking out the window of her dorm at the college, Kasper's eyes went wider then they already were naturally at the beauty of the rain. She had always loved the rain and the way it eased her stress. It should rain more often here, but it was so easily turned to snow if it was cold enough. Biting her lip and making up her innocent mind to run around outside, risking catching a cold, she ran out from her dorm with a giddy squee and fled down the stairs and out the door with only what she was wearing.
As soon as the rain touched her skin she made a small noise of satisfaction, looking up at the sky and watching it come down to land refreshingly on her skin. There were already a great deal of puddles as this was a pretty hard rainfall. She splashed through them playfully, kicking her feet up and getting her leather boots filthy and probably ruined. This week, her hair was a pretty blonde which she enjoyed quite a bit. Now it was falling in her face and dripping with the dew of the pouring waters.
She skipped and galloped to the docks, wanting to see the nature in this beauty of a storm. It was a cool day with a soft breeze from the water, but she wouldn't feel cold until she walked inside a bit later. Kasper wondered if the dorm staff would give her a hard time for dripping over everything. She gazed up at the trees, their leaves bending under the pressure of the droplets of water and finally caving to let them drip. The water bended with the pressure of the rain colliding with it's surface, finally making a ripple when it joined the water.
Kasper finally looked down from the sky and almost went headlong into a bench. "Oof!" She grunted as she collided with it, softer than she would have if she didn't know it was there. It was hard to stop skipping so quickly. She giggled at herself for making a fool out of her and looked around to see if anyone saw.

Danica gazed upon her Asian room-mate with a slight smile and shake of her head. The girl seemed to have boundless energy, where she got it Dani probably would never know. A rainstorm... wonderful. Or rather the opposite of wonderful ... loathsome at least for Dani. Kasper appeared to love it. It was that child like innocence that made her love her.
Normally Dani would stay away from words like love even in her head. Not because she didn't feel that way. But because her family could be up rooted at anytime and she may need to obtain a new identity and lose everything. So why get close? Though with Kasper it was hard not to.
There were depths in those Asian eyes that few really bothered to look for. Hidden beneath a cloud of giddiness that seemed to even fool Kasper herself. But Danica saw. And she understood the need to hide. What she didn't understand was the need to hide it from herself. Or how she did it.
Her brown eyes were focused out the window now as she watched Kasper bound out the door to play in the rain. Under different circumstances she might have joined. But right now it was a lot more fun to sit here and watch her.
The voyeurism was short lived as Dani watched Kasper soak herself to the bone. Almost maternal instinct was kicking in and she was out the door with a jacket and umbrella almost before she realized she'd moved.
It hadn't taken long to catch up with the other girl. "Kasper... you're soaked through... do you want to catch a death of cold?" she couldn't help but chastise.

She was relieved to see no one had seen her collide with the bench when she looked around. Heaving a great sigh of relief, she averted her body around the wooden sitting area and started to skip across the grass, jumping in every puddle she could. She was going to be dirty from the mud anyway so why not spray it all over? She bent over unashamably, knowing there was no one looking anyway, and grabbed some of the mud on the ground. She gave herself little whiskers, almost looking like an Indian with tribal makeup. Kasper squealed with joy, wondering if those parts of her skin would be moisturized when she took the mud off.
As she heard the voice behind her, another huge puddle came into view. She jumped in it with as much force as she could, spraying water in all directions and making her even more wet. She almost forgot there had been a voice behind her when she finished with her jump. Kasper turned around to see her roommate, Danica, behind her with a scardy cat umbrella. She looked down at her ankles, which were deep in water. Good thing she was wearing boots and they weren't real leather. Just at the thought that she could ruin these all she wanted, she grinned, covering her mouth partially with her fingers.
Waving enthusiastically, she jumped out of the small pot hole and ran to her friend, wrapping her arms around her. They weren't best friends yet, but Kasper loved her hugs. Any hugs. And the fact that she got Danica wet just by giving her a hug helped too. "Oops." She giggled with a cheeky grin, shrugging and hugging her again. "Hiya! A cold? Ha! I love sneezing." It was true. It was an odd thing that she loved to sneeze, but it felt good. She only had a problem with the sore throats and runny noses. "It's not that cold out. Just...breezy. Lighten up!"

David liked the cold weather, because whenever it was cold out meant one thing in Maine, big swells in the ocean. He and a couple of his friends had gotten up bright and early to hit the beach for some kite surfing, and it had been one hell of a day so far. The wind was perfect, not too strong but not too soft. It wasn’t until the rain had started coming down out on the water that they had decided to stop. The thing about the ocean was the weather changed drastically out there, and they were far out so they were getting hit hard by the rain but when they got to shore it was barely even a drizzle, and more of a gentle gust of wind. No point in trying to go back out with the weather out on the water though, so after packing up all his gear, he put his bag on, grabbed the bag his kite was in along with the safety equipment and began walking to his car.
As he walked to his car he pulled a towel out of his bag, through it over his shoulder and saw women now. First thing he did was dry his arms, no point in drying the rest because the wet suit covered the rest and then saw how the women he was looking at almost fall over and trip. Then out of no where another lady came out and began talking to the other, and since he assumed they were both hanging out together there was no point in trying to hit on that sexy Asian chick, although the other one was sexy too. As he walked past he heard one of the two say it wasn’t cold, just breezy and she was right, so he walked over and decided to say something to the two of them.
“She’s right you know…” he told the other one while throwing his bag on the ground. “It isn’t cold out, just a subtle breeze…” he then turned back to the one who mentioned it wasn’t cold. She was definitely attractive, so he wasn’t going to waste anytime introducing himself. “I’m David…who might you two be? Don’t think I’ve ever met the two of you before…” it was a rather small town so the fact he didn’t know these two meant either they didn’t get out much or they were just visiting, or maybe he just didn’t simply pay attention. But two women as attractive as these two in front of him would be hard to miss.

As soon as she was finished speaking, it was as though people were coming out of no where from the way she was being interrupted dancing in the rain. She turned around to glare at the sexy accented voice that disrupted them, but her eyes went wide instead of narrow. A completely soaking man in a wet suit walked up to the roommates and all Kasper could do was gawk. He was gorgeous and she wanted to grab him right there, but she was way too shy. Sighing, relaxing her shoulders and giving him big googly eyes, she resisted the urge to drool. The accent. The hair, the wetness...well look at that. A bulge was there too. She made note to just glance and that would be it, but she was sure she looked longer than she wanted to.
Regaining her composure, she straightened her shoulders and blinked. It felt like an hour staring at the man, but it was probably just a few seconds. "Yeah...it's actually quite hot. I mean...warmish. Something...like that." She was about to put her palm to her forehead in a 'doh' moment, but he stated his name and she was distracted yet again. Kasper almost screamed out her own name so he would hear her and not forget. "I'm Kasper. This is Danica, my roomie. Yeah... I don't know why I haven't seen you before." She mumbled off, checking him out a little once more before smiling pleasantly.
