babe stay with me ,---------------------------------------------------- her head was pounding from the night before. she wasn't sure if it was actually because of all the drinks she consume or if it was the amazing night she had with leighton. yea, instead of spending it with a guy she spent it with a girl. she was amazing but angel was a virgin but this girl made her feel different and well she enjoyed herself more so at this party than anything at all. it was hard to explain why this so, but she remember most of it though after having an orgasm she blacked out from the massive amounts of alcohol she didn't even remember drinking. she was sure she only have a drink maybe two and one from the guy in the yellow shirt. but then again the guy in the yellow shirt could have put something in the drink but she was glad she was with someone else instead of him. he was a cutie, but not her type in so many ways it seemed impossible to describe.
she was woken by a loud noise from her cell phone's alarm but shifted in her bed pushing a few random buttons. she had a hangover and didn't feel like doing much, and her parents were already gone off to work along with her sister. they always did that, and they knew she had a reason to go to school and that reason was dino. angel hated the fact they knew that she had a thing for dino, but dino either couldn't see it or didn't want to. she picked up her phone trying to see the numbers and turned off the volume of the phone somewhat knowing she would get a few text messages how where she was at. it was to early in the morning for her to care. she sent it on the desk next to her bed, and pulled the overs her head and closing her eyes. she wasn't sure how she had gotten home but was somewhat sure that her parents didn't know or hear come in. though she was told she couldn't stand on her feet for more then a second or two when intoxicated.
she could only remember blurs of the night, but didn't want to anymore. she laid her head on her pillow and let her hair fall around her face knowing she looked like shit compared to most days. but she wasn't expecting anyone to come over. everyone was either doing the same thing she was or at school hanging out with each other. angel wasn't sure why she went to that party knowing that it was a stupid thing to do specially considering dino wasn't there to take her home like he usually did. she didn't want to say it was because of him, but in her mind that was the only reasonable answer to it all. her change in mood, and her behavior all began to change because of him. she knew it wasn't him directly, she felt as if she was slowly loosing him as time went by. none of her attempts to get him to say anything seemed to work which made her wonder if she was just wasting her time on him like her parents had said from the beginning.
they warned her that she was getting in over her head, and there was a chance of her falling. she thought they meant getting hurt and well she was but in a different way. it was her heart getting hurt. the whole thing was is that angel never told him he had her at hello, or anything really. she knew it was mostly her fault for couraging in the background watching this sweet boy slowly slip by, and not that he was almost gone she was terrified of everything. she didn't want to loose him, and it terrified her to think about the boy hugging on a blond girl that didn't understand anything they were talking about. burrying her face into the pillow tears slowly fell from her face just thinking about all these emotions. she wasn't the type to cry in front of people, but when she had a hangover or drunk she would just let it all out knowing it felt good to cry once in a while.
emotions were something that both scared and confused the shit out of angel. they always left her feeling confused and hurt at the end of the day. she didn't want to think of herself as an emotional wreck but that's the way she saw herself at the moment. she didn't know how to tell someone you were in love with you loved them without knowing that they felt the same way. angel and dino never dated, and that made things even more complicated it seem. it was a big step from best friends to being in love with that person forever. angel wanted dino to be her edward cullen for the rest of life. she knew he never read any of the same books she did but somehow he knew some of the quotes or anything that she that was adorable and try to sway her with it.
hearing her phone vibrate she sighed blowing some of her hair out of the way and reached for the phone. she flipped opened the phone seeing a dinosaur picture on the phone she wiped the few running tears falling from her face, and read the message. he kept asking her where she was, and she replied slowly, "home. sleeping. nite." she turned off her phone and went back under her covers. she didn't want dino to come and bother her knowing he would somehow weezle everything out of her and manage to make her smile even though she didn't want to. she was to hung over for all that and barely had enough energy to cry or reply back to his text message.

Donovan Maxwell EdwardsAnd now it's up to m e to wait, I n e e d you to
Reciprocate, my h e a r t is ticking like a b o x ,Sent to m e by anonymous, and now I'm s c a r e d . Waiting up out of discomfort to find something poking his side, a disgruntled yawn escaped Donovan's lips as he turned to lay on his back, reaching down to grab the offending lead pencil and bringing it up to his squinted blue eyes. "Oh, so that's where you went," he muttered aloud to himself, before digging under his pillow for his sketchbook. He'd spent the whole night drawing under the covers with a flashlight on, his cellphone void of any text messages from the girl that he often turned to in times of stress or boredom. He'd passed out from the boredom, managing to remember to shove his sketchbook under his pillow, but his writing utensil had disappeared under the covers and he could care less at the time. He turned to see that he still had time to get ready for school, but he wasn't really in the mood, to be honest. Still, he knew that someone was depending on him to walk with her to school, so he had to get up.
Moving to peer over the edge of his bed, he spotted his box of cigarettes and scooped them up into his hands, lifting the elastic band of his boxers and placing them there for safekeeping. He was thinking of quitting, but whenever he went for hours without hearing from Angel like this, he tended to resort back to bad habits. It was strange, because she didn't need to talk to him. She had her life.
He slowly got ready for a new day, grabbing his skateboard from underneath his bed and actually taking the stairs this time. His father didn't even look up from the newspaper in his hands as he moved into the kitchen to grab a poptart, holding it in his mouth with his teeth as he grabbed a redbull from the fridge and then walked outside. His skateboard hit the ground with a smack as he munched on his treat, giving into his sweet tooth. He placed his redbull into the front pocket of his bookbag for later, before stopping at the nearest bus stop. This was usually where he met up with Angel to go to school, but she was nowhere to be seen. He frowned slightly, finishing up his poptart and then dusting off his hands, preoccupying his feet with his board to try and give her some more time. After about fifteen minutes, he decided to try texting her, to see where she was at.
"home. sleeping. nite."
Donovan's top teeth messed with his snake bites as he stared at the message, looking a little surprised with furrowed brows, before he sighed and sat down on the curb. He pulled out his redbull from his bag and popped it open, downing most of it as he mulled in his thoughts. It was a relatively nice day outside... he felt a drop descend on to his head, followed by a few more, and he chuckled bitterly. Okay, scratch that, it was going to rain. He tried calling her this time, but it didn't seem to go through, it just went straight to voicemail. He heard her message, which was a compilation of their voices, and laughed as he ended the call before hearing the beep. If she wouldn't come to see him, then he would go to her. He simply couldn't go to school, knowing that she wouldn't be here.
He picked up his beaten up skateboard and jogged down the sidewalk, throwing it down infront of him and skating the rest of the way to her house with a sense of urgency.
He noticed that there weren't any cars parked outside, so her parents were gone. He looked around carefully, just incase, before he made his way up to her window. Peering inside, he spotted her on her bed, her face not visible because she had pressed it against her pillow with her hair falling all over the place. She looked like a mess, even from where he was standing. He reached up to lightly tap on her window, just incase she had fallen asleep. When he didn't see her react, probably because it was too light, he reached down to pull it open. The rain was beginning to fall harder on his slim body as he stood out there, holding on for dear life and trying to pry it open. But it was either locked or stuck. He tapped on it again, before pressing his face against the glass with a pout on his features, his dark hair beginning to become matted to his skull and forehead. He would wait out there forever, even if he caught pneumonia or something. He had to see if she was okay. babe stay with me ,---------------------------------------------------- angel wasn't the type of girl to have hang overs and if she had one they usually were few mild. they weren't as bad as this one, and it sucked. she knew she didn't drink that much, she swore to herself that she didn't. but then again her mind went to the boy in the yellow shirt who gave her, the last drink of the night before she went with leighton. leighton was beautiful but she knew she was in the same class as her, and they were in the same math class or at least she thought they were. angel never paid much attention to anything specially math class. she was to worried about her other grades and doodled on her notebook of song songs running through her mind. she wasn't one for math anyway, and didn't worry about it knowing most of the stuff. she was more worried about staying awake during that period knowing it seemed near impossible too.
she knew that when she took the first drink of the acohol she had to take all the responsiblities of it. she didn't mind that, and it was something she seemed very good at. she wasn't the type to become a dare devil and throw herself off a tall building or even begin to think she was some sort of superhero. she had fallen down a flight of stairs once only because of her own stupidness and tripped over her heels. it taught her never to wear heels again which is the main reason she began to rock a pair of regular sneakers when going to a party. if she was drinking she hid her heels somewhere so she wouldn't be able to find them and possibly injury herself again. her friends were the ones that thought they were superheroes while angel thought herself more of the line of batman but much weaker.
laying there in her bed she stared out into the painting of her wall before closing her eyes. she not long fell into a little sleep........
the moon was dancing off the water as a glass floor was above it keeping the students above it. in the middle of the room was a blue eyes boy that held her love since the first time he said hello to her. she knew her stomach had been turning the whole night, and he say that glare in his eye that was looking toward her direction. she looked to see a blond girl standing in front of her causing her heart to crash into her stomach with a light thud. she glanced to the eyes feeling water build up in the corner of her eye, and before she it feel off her face she felt a finger brush it off her face. looking to the person she saw her best friend, the guy of her dreams dino. she smiled fighting the tears before trying to think of words of how to explain it all to him. she knew she couldn't just bellow to the world she had been in love with him. as she opened her mouth to say something she felt his lips being pressed to hers.
waking up she heard the rain tapping at her window and cursed it lightly under her breath. she didn't move knowing that would require her to move out of her comfortable posistion she managed to find when sleeping. she hated it for pulling her out of the dream that she in her mind would never come true even if she wished so part it would. she closed her eyes again hoping she could fall back into the peaceful sleep once more but heard another tap at the window. turning her body towards the window she saw the rain but also the face of the boy that haunted her dreams. rolling her eyes at him she pushed her body off the bed and made her way across her carpet until she reached the window. undoing the latched of the window she pushed it opened before taking a step back from it and shaking her head at him. "my edward cullen." she said to him before moving back into her bed and laying down on it.
she looked like shit and knew it. it made her fustrated that he came even though she told him not to. though, she knew he never listened to her specially because whenever she told him no about something he had to say yes and come with her. it made her somewhat glad he cared but also fustrated with the boy at the same time. "you didn't have to come, but as you can see i'm fine thank you." her room was darker than usual only because she wasn't sure if it would be sunny knowing her eyes and head couldn't stand the light or even noises.

Donovan Maxwell EdwardsAnd now it's up to m e to wait, I n e e d you to
Reciprocate, my h e a r t is ticking like a b o x ,Sent to m e by anonymous, and now I'm s c a r e d . He felt like he was standing there for hours on end as he waited patiently to be acknowledged by the only girl that ever really gave a damn about him. It was probably only a few minutes at most, but his senses were heightened by the fact that his clothes were being soaked to the bone by the falling rain and his dark hair was no longer as smooth as usual. It might even be darker in contrast now. But really, what did he know? He blinked rapidly a few times as he slowly peeled himself away from the cool glass, water dripping off the ends of his hair as it fell over his eyes, longer now because it was wet. The skaterboy simply shook it off like a dog caught in the rain, completely mesmerized by the sight of Angel sleeping. She looked so peaceful, her body following the steady rhythm of her breathing as she lay there and he had the urge to just reach out and touch her, to make sure if she was still alive. It didn't take a genius to realize that her name fit her perfectly. She did look like an angel when she was asleep and he almost regretted coming along.
To many people, he might be the devil to her angel, but he liked to think of himself as a simple human being who was being graced by her presence, beauty, and affection.
Donovan knew that he was feeling something more for his friend, he had come to terms with it now, but he didn't know how she felt. He wasn't a mind reader. And although he knew that he had the responsibility to go to school, especially since this was their last year before graduation, he just couldn't bare the thought of going there alone. Who would he talk to during lunch? Who would walk home with him? Who would humor him during class and text him back, even though they were sitting just a few desks apart? He became so used to having Angel around that it wasn't worth going when she wasn't there. It might sound like he was clingy, and if he was, so be it. He wasn't ashamed of admitting that he missed her. She was the only thing he had. She was his best friend, she was there for him, and that's all he really needed to know. Nothing else mattered. Nothing else remained.
His bright blue eyes flickered back towards the window to look inside intently as he noticed her stir out of the corner of his eye. He watched as she turned underneath the sheets, her form snug and comfortable-looking, though her eyes gave away that she wasn't the least bit pleased to see him. He almost frowned. Almost. He knew that he didn't like getting up in the morning either, it wasn't his favorite time of day. In fact, he liked the night, because of the darkness. He got to sneak out with his friends, smoke when his parents weren't looking, and draw underneath the covers. They were trivial things, but he also got to dream. And when he dreamt, they were usually of her: his Bella. He'd never told her about it though, knowing that it would sound too creepy. Especially if she didn't like him in that way. He was so terrified of rejection. He'd never been this way before, he could take being turned down, but not by Angel. It was different with her, very different.
Not that he would know what that was like, unless she blew him off, like last night when she kept him hanging. He was tempted to question her about it, but decided not to start on the wrong foot. Obviously she didn't feel so hot. He could see it on her face, and regardless of whatever she told him, he just knew. He'd known her for a long time now. He gave her the brightest of grins when she finally opened the window for him--half expecting her to close the shades in his face, quite frankly--before he slid inside with ease. He tried not to shiver as the air conditioning of the room tried to tease him and his wet clothing as he dripped water all over her carpet. Maybe she would humor him and toss him a hoodie when she noticed. Or maybe not. He could prance around and just get everything wet, like a runaway dog on the loose during a bubble bath. That could be fun. But he didn't think that she would be running too much today. She looked like hell.
"Morning, Bellacakes," Donovan said as he watched her retreat back to her bed. She really wasn't well. He was sure of it now. "Of course I had to come. You know it's always opposite day in my head. If you say no, it means yes. I have come to save you from the clutches of doom... so what's your poison?" It was his way of asking what was wrong with her. There were so many possibilities, like that she was simply sick, hungover, or an option that he hated to consider because it was kinda gross for immature guys: that time of the month. "Yeah, right, nice try," he said with a scoff and a shake of his head, before walking over to sit on the edge of her bed. He noticed that it was pretty dark in the room, so he had an idea what was going on, but decided to play dumb. It worked better in the long run.
He brought his index and middle finger up to level them with his eyes, before moving them in a forward motion. "I'm on to you and your antics, missy. You just don't wanna go to school. And it's not even your birthday... I think." He chuckled, expecting a playful punch from her, although he never forgot her birthday. He always waited until midnight of the day before so that he would be the very first one to congradulate her. It was just a little thing that he liked to do. babe stay with me ,---------------------------------------------------- angel didn't understand why dino felt the need to always be around her. she didn't mind it though, even though at times she acted like she did. she had to act bitchy once in a while just to spice things up. she knew her bitching was something that got on most boys nerves but no matter what she did dino never really strayed from her. it was hard to explain what that meant to her but just hoped that it was because he wanted something more. she hated being soft spoken rather than some girls that could speak there minds without worrying about what would happen to them. angel however wasn't the type of girl and somewhat wanted to become one knowing that this was probably once of the last months of many months they had together before they weren't to college. sure, they had summer together but her parents were planning to take there family to florida to get a chance in scenary.
she hadn't told dino about it, and wasn't sure how she was going to. they could be barely be apart from each other for more than a few hours let alone cross the state from each other for a couple years maybe even forever. he always tried to tell her they he would be with her forever, but she didn't see how that was possible unless they went to the same college, and did all these things. she wasn't sure if she was strong enough to control he emotions while she was in college around the while knowing he could be sleeping with any bimbo that came along. she knew he was smarter than that, but still didn't want it to come down to that because it made her heart break slowly just thinking of it. however when this happened he had a way of just coming along and fixing everything. she couldn't ever stay made at him just because of those blue eyes that looked at her and made her melt with every time they talked.
angel didn't want to cause anything awkward between the two. it was already enough knowing that he was clueless to her feeligns because she didn't have enough courage or balls to tell him. she had been straight forward at school to people, and even in public but to dino she just couldn't ruin everything that she had worked so hard to get in the first place. she didn't want to show him the other sweet side to her, though she knew he had seen some of it all the time after being around her for so long. she didn't let any of her other guy or girl friends see it only because she was considered more towards the leader of the females along side dino though a leader in a group of skaters seemed pretty dumb. though she wouldn't mind being the queen of the group if it was king dino who was the king. but the preps tried to mark there strongest opponents when trying to get into the pants of one of the boys, and the main one most worried about was in fact angel.
she hated watching on of her friends with a bimbo. it made her blood boil, and caused her to want to vomit all over the floor. she couldn't stand them only because they acted as if they were better than everyone in the world. it wasn't true but still they acted like it and caused people to flock to them for beauty, and a small chance not to get a rumor started about you. angel knew better than to listen to any of the rumors at school only because she had heard so many about her, and dino together it made her just want to strangle someone. she did enjoy the imagine but hate when people have to lie and take someone that is so innoccent and turn it into something like that.
rolling her eyes at him she knew it might as well be opposite day for him. he never truly listened to her but rather did the opposite but she didn't mind at all anymore. not really saying anything she just laid on her pillow looking at the boy who was getting her carpet wet. she didn't want to answer his question and figured he would sooner or later figure it out. "you can get a hoodie, i don't want to move." she didn't mind a wet room but her parents would flip to see her carpet wet, along with her bed sheets. saying she was fine was something no one ever believed when she said it. looking up at him for a minute she shook her head no, and just buried her face back into the pillow before turning it to the side to see part of the boy on the end of the bed.
rolling her eyes at the boy, the only true reason she went anymore is to spend more time with dino though they could just skip together and hang out somewhere they liked before having to make a break for it. "i just don't feel good, do i need a reason?" she knew by now dino knew what had happened knowing she had gotten a few text messages from his last night before finally ignoring the phone and merely partying. she wasn't sure what he would do but hope it wasn't anything stupid knowing she wasn't in the mood for his antics at the moment.

Donovan Maxwell EdwardsAnd now it's up to m e to wait, I n e e d you to
Reciprocate, my h e a r t is ticking like a b o x ,Sent to m e by anonymous, and now I'm s c a r e d . Donovan had his fair share of friends, but he always found himself more inclined towards spending most of his time with Angel. She was a girl, but he didn't feel shy about goofing off around her or talking to her about things that other girls might find gross or disgusting. She wasn't that type of girl. Even with her playful banter, he never felt put off by it. In fact, sometimes he encouraged it. He would deliberately do things to get on her nerves, her angry tone fueling his mischief, but at the end of the day, they always made up. He couldn't remember them ever really fighting about something. It was always all in good fun. But sometimes he wondered how she would react to having a serious conversation with him. One about their relationship. He would stare back into his bathroom mirror and comb his fingers through his hair, before licking his lips and reciting a speech for her. He wouldn't even do that for school, he hated giving speeches. But Angel even drove him to do things out of character like that, even if she wasn't aware of it.
Maybe he felt the need to be around her so much because he wanted to protect her. As a foster child, he knew what it was like to be faced with the cold and cruel world, and he wanted to spare her from that as much as possible. When you were a pushover and let other people rule your life, the world could be a scary place and you always knew what would happen. But once you picked up on this sense of self-confidence and stopped fearing everything, nothing could hurt you. You made up your own ending. That's what Dino wanted for Angel. He wanted her to live her life without anyone's influences, not even his own. He wanted her to choose. And everyday that she let him inside, or snuck outside to be with him, he knew that she had chosen to be with him. Maybe not in the way that he would have liked, not yet, but she had chosen him. For now, that was enough for the young artist...
Enough to make his heart skip a beat.
If Angel left town, Donovan had no doubt in his mind that he would drop everything and go with her. Even if he had to start from scratch and encounter the world alone, he would go with her. He would say goodbye to the people that the government called his parents and hitch the next ride to wherever she was going. He would be turning eighteen soon and no one could tell him what to do, not even now. So after graduation, the world was his to explore. That was one of his ambitions when he was younger, to travel around the world. He didn't really have anywhere to call home, so anywhere that he rested his head would just have to do. He didn't want to settle for second best. He didn't want another girl. He wanted to be with Angel, as her friend, or her family, or her lover. It didn't really matter in the end. He would settle for whatever spot was open in her life. Though he knew that it would kill him to see his Bella with another man. But if that's what made her happy, then he would just have to realize that maybe he wasn't Edward.
Maybe he had just been wearing the same shoes as him by accident.
Donovan watched Angel as he spoke to her, a little surprised that she didn't throw something right back at him. Something. Anything at all. He did catch the eye roll though, so he knew that she was still in there somewhere. "Mkay, thanks!" he said quickly when she gave him the heads up to snag one of her hoodies, kicking off his shoes and placing them by the window for when he made his exit, before scurrying over barefoot for her closet. He opened the doors and seemed to disappear behind it, peeling off his wet shirt and placing his hands over his chest as he popped his head back out momentarily. "Hey, you think I can audition for boys gone wild?" he asked with a playful grin that seemed to reach his eyes, before he chuckled and disappeared into her closet again, pulling on one of her black hoodies and moving back over to her bed. Because he was rather lanky, her clothing did fit him pretty well. Well, hoodies especially, because they always bought them at least one size bigger. It was more snug and comfortable that way.
His hands searched behind him for the hood as he brought it up and rested it over his head, some of his wet hair sticking to his cheeks as he sat at the foot of her bed again. When she shook her head, he frowned slightly, his words not really helping like they usually do. "No, I guess not," Dino said with a little shrug of his shoulders, his bright blue eyes going over to the window as the rain constantly pelted at the glass. "I guess it's none of my business." Just as he spoke, a flash of lightning lit up the sky, followed by the low rumble of thunder. He wouldn't be able to go home anytime soon. If her parents got home early, he'd have to hide in her closet or under her bed, though they'd caught him there once. He just gave them a grin and scampered out of the window, nearly twisting his ankle on the leap down that one time in his hurry. He looked away from the window, slowly looking back at Angel, tilting his head slightly to one side, then to the other.
"You look different to me... did you cut your hair?" he asked slowly. He wasn't implying something, he just wanted to kill the silence that had built up. He just wanted to hear her voice. Storms reminded him of the day they'd told him that his grandfather had passed away. He could still see their faces as they both huddled in his room, sitting on his bed just like he was doing now with Angel, though they weren't fighting with him about something. Most of the words he'd forgotten, but it was like a video on mute. His face had fallen with every passing second, until it had crumbled into sadness. The loss took a while to really sink in though and the mourning process even longer. But now as he sat here, he felt a different kind of sadness. He felt like he was losing his best friend. Not to the grim reaper, just to the circumstances of life. His expression fell just a tad, but he didn't want to let on that she was worrying him. She could obviously take care of herself, right? She had made it pretty clear. But he couldn't really help it. He loved her. He always had.
