"I'm actually a genius. Really. I was tested once when I was younger and again when I was in highschool. I just lack some serious motivation. Getting hooked on pot probably didn't help either. I never saw a point in being smart I suppose. And even though I love hitting a joint I do want to stop and make something of myself because some where burried deep within me I actually know I can."

"Two words. Pot. Girls. Thats basically all I live for. I'm your typical druggie. I get up in the morning, usually light it up, go to my internship, then the rest of the day is either me laying around in my one room apartment smoking and watching tv, doing odd jobs around campus or screwing some girl. I don't really like conflict so I tend to avoid it all cost but I've been known for my temper. Piss me off enough and I'll bust your face in. I don't seem like a good boyriend because, well I'm me, but when ever I find that one girl I'd treat her like my world. I'm actually a really loyal guy you just have to look beneath the haze of smoke and self loathe."

"My mother's name was Mary-Kathryn and my father's name was Richard. When my mother and father married he was 29 and she was 23 both had jobs at a law firm in Maine, she being a secretary and he being a lawyer. The two were seemingly happy in public but my father apparently had fierce temper problems and they only got worse when I was born. It wasn't long before my father was beating my mother until finally he killed her. It was an accidental death but he went to jail either way."

"Nope. I'd feel sorry for them if I did."

"When I took the IQ test in highschool again. Having taken it in Elementary school it didn't mean much to me but knowing I was actually smart made me feel a little better and gave me that spark to turn my life around."

"When my mother died. I was only 12 at the time and it was depressing. Even at that young of an age I went into isolation and even thought about killing myself. That stage passed though."

Grant blinked looking at her. She seeme irritated with him. Dre'a was much different than how he remembered her. Grant looked at the ground as she took her hand from his. Looking over his shoulder to Ellen and the girl Grant licked his lips. His gaze returned to Dre'a. Why was this girl making her so upset. "It be mine, aye?" The pirate sighed and closed his eye. After a moment he smiled slightly and opened his eyes. Taking her hand back in his he reached under his shirt and revealed a coin on a string. It had taken him forever to put a string through that coin. Yanking it from his neck he placed it in her hand. "I'm not going to be taking your girl from ye. I may be the problem but I tain't be the solution. I ain't even sure I can take care me own." The pirate sighed and let go of he hand. "She be a looker. Red did a fancy job lookin' after her" Grant nodded and looked at the ground. What was he going to do about this. Tayca was his. He wouldn't take her from Dre'a, one because he'd have to explain her to Ellen and two Red would want to kill him even more so. Grant understood though why she was angry at him. He got her pregnant and never came back. That didn't mean he didn't think about her, though, because he did. Every so often he wondered where Dre'a had gone and how she was and what she was doing with her life. The pirate's gaze was on the ground as he got lost in his own thought.
