DO THE HELEN KELLER AND TALK WITH YOUR HIPS
"my name is bryce kennedy quinn. sometimes people call me bry, kenny, or quinn. i'm pretty simple, so i don't really have a preference, anything will do. kennedy was my father's first name."
AWESOME! SO ARE YOU MALE OR FEMALE? OR SOMETHING ELSE? YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO SURE NOWADAYS..
"i'm a male. it says so on my birth certificate."
HOW OLD ARE YOU?
"i just recently turned twenty years old."
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
"i was born in orlando, florida, but i grew up here in wells beach, maine. i go back there during the summer to visit relatives and friends. i miss it sometimes."
NOW MOVING ONTO WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE. HOW TALL ARE YOU, AND IF YOU DON'T MIND ME ASKING, HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH?
"i'm pretty decent standing at 6'1" and i weigh around 170-180 lbs. i run every afternoon and go to the gym, so i'm not built, but i stay in shape."
WHAT GENDER ARE YOU MOSTLY INTO: GUYS, GIRLS OR BOTH?
"i only have eyes for the ladies."
WHAT ARE YOU GOOD AT?
"listening to others, giving good advice, staying calm during hectic situations, playing the piano, writing, playing the guitar, singing, keeping good relationships with my exes, being a good boyfriend, and remembering specific details (i have a photographic memory)."
COOL. WHAT ARE YOU NOT SO GOOD AT?
"talking on the phone (it's kinda awkward, haha), being around a large group of people, giving speeches, sleeping (insomniac), mathematics, relating to other people my age, keeping down my liquor (i rarely drink), staying on the patch (i do smoke, terrible habit), dancing, and being blunt."
AWW, THAT SUCKS. WHAT DO YOU LIKE?"
"smoking, texting, writing, playing music, singing, alternative rock, pretty women, romantic dinners, comedies, and dogs."
I LIKE SOME OF THOSE THINGS TOO! WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE?
"drugs, excessive drinking, rap music, loose women, couples who insist on gross pda, bratty children, ignorant elder folk, liars, people who use others for their own devices, and social ladders."
I SEE. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU FEAR?
"mostly drowning, since i saw someone go down that way once. i'm not fond of spiders either."
WHAT ABOUT THE FUTURE, DO YOU HAVE ANY HOPES AND DREAMS?"
"probably to become a professional musician and to find that special someone. love hasn't been good to me all that much lately. every time i think the search is over, i learn that i'm further away than i was before. but i guess that's life. i'm used to being single."
GOOD LUCK WITH THOSE! OKAY, SO I LIKE ABIT OF GOSSIP. DO YOU HAVE ANY SECRETS? I WON'T TELL ANYONE.
"well, not really, except that i saw my best friend drown in my senior year of high school. that was two years ago now, but it's still fresh on my mind. i guess that's why i have a love-hate relationship with the water. it took away my best friend."
WOW. TELL ME A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR PERSONALITY. I WANNA KNOW WHAT YOU'RE LIKE AS A PERSON.
"i've been told that i'm an old soul. i still believe in opening doors for the ladies and being polite. i believe that everyone is equal, but you need to respect in order to be respected. i'm pretty traditional, but open-minded."
WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND?
"a sweet girl with a mission to win my heart. self-confidence and a nice smile rank way up there too. but she should have some kind of spunk. it'll keep me on my toes."
WELL I GUESS THAT PUTS ME OUT OF THE RUNNING. WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE IN A BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND?
"really? it's not asking too much, i hope. well, i'm kind of straight-edge, apart from smoking cigarettes, so i'm not one for destructive behavior. i mean, i wouldn't turn away, but it's unnecessary. she shouldn't be too cocky and she should be able to hold a decent converation. i also can't stand cheaters or liars. if you want to be with someone else, then break up, don't break someone else's heart."
OKAY, WELL I'M GOING TO ASK WHAT SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITES ARE NOW, OKAY?
"sure, bring 'em on."
FAVOURITE FOOD & DRINK?
"lasagna and pepsi."
FAVOURITE MOVIE & TV SHOW?
"a beautiful mind and family guy."
FAVOURITE BAND/SINGER?
"muse and matthew bellamy."
FAVOURITE COLOUR?
"hmm, i think that'd be the color of the sunset. it's really nice to look at. the sky is always changing."
FAVOURITE LYRIC OR QUOTE?
"the past is only the future with the lights on."
THAT WAS FUN. TELL ME A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR PARENTS.
"well, my father's name is kennedy quinn, which accounts for my middle name, and he was also a musician. he was a drummer. my mother's name is mandy quinn, which was easy for my father to serenade her later because of her name, and she was a dancer."
DO YOU HAVE ANY SIBLINGS?
"no, i'm an only child."
TELL ME ABOUT A REALLY GOOD TIME IN YOUR LIFE.
"well, when i was younger, my mother used to dance on the porch. she was so graceful, and although i've always had two left feet, she used to pretend like i was sitting in the crowd and she would ask me to dance with her. when my father got home, he would bring out one of his percussion instruments and give us something to dance to. it was just nice, as if there wasn't a worry in the world."
THAT SOUNDS AWESOME. WHAT ABOUT A NOT-SO-GOOD TIME ON YOUR LIFE?
"the day my parents got a divorce. i had always thought that they were so connected that it came as a shock to me. it dimmed my hope a little. maybe i self-sabotage my relationships somehow, since i thought they were perfect and ended up being anything but. my father moved to miami and my mother stayed in orlando. i later learned that my father had cheated on her."
OH DEAR. I THINK THIS INTERVIEW IS OVER NOW. HAS ANYONE EVER TOLD YOU THAT YOU LOOK ALIKE LIKE ROBERT PATTINSON? COS YOU REALLY DO. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.
"thank you, i'll see you around."

Quinn stretched his arms high above his head with a sleepy yawn, before turning to reluctantly scoot his way out of bed and over to his window. Pushing aside the swaying curtains and peering outside, he noticed that the blizzard was pretty much gone, though a thin layer of snow still bathed the ground in a pretty white sheet as a token of rememberance. He noticed that people didn't look like eskimos hypnotized to believe that they were still living in Alaska, so it was probably safe to go outside now. He ran his hand up his face and through his messy brown hair, not making it any better as he walked towards the bathroom. He was supposed to go see his publisher later on today to discuss his next book, to whom he had faxed a draft of the first few chapters recently, so it would be a chance to receive his feedback face-to-face, instead of the usual over-the-phone. He knew that he didn't have to dress up real nice or anything, since they'd known each other back in high school and sort of kept in touch as their careers prospered, but he still wanted to look decent.
He had a dark blue suit (or midnight blue, where it looked more like black than blue) hidden deep in the back of his closet for special occasions, along with a white shirt, a black tie, and some khaki slacks. He quickly changed into his more proper attire, making a twisted face back into the mirror as he re-adjusted his tie, loosening it a bit so that he wouldn't cut his own circulation with the damn thing. He hated ties. He was so simple and laid-back that occasions like this weren't his forte. They were almost epic, apart from book signings. "Perfectly imperfect," he muttered to himself as he stared back at his reflection. Reaching over for a bottle of gel, he rubbed his hands together and reached up to run his fingers through his hair, giving it some sort of form. A method to his madness, some would say. He chuckled as he remembered Serenity's comment about it being 'sex hair.' It did look unruly enough to give the best head of a hair a run for their money. Too bad there weren't any hair pagents out there. Or were there? He wasn't up to date with that kind of thing.
Quinn smiled as he remembered their conversation, before he'd gone to her place for a friendly get together. It was odd being around someone when you felt differently about them. It was almost like they were another person... or maybe you were a different person. He pondered about it as he grabbed his keys, reaching into his coat pocket as it hung off of his computer chair for his cellphone. "Hey, you busy? If you meet me up at the park, you can see me all dressed up. Once in a lifetime opportunity," he texted to Serenity, before pausing and messing with the bottom of his lip. He flipped it back open and added, "Plus, I want to see how you fared with the storm and all that." He stared down at it and hit enter, before slipping it into his pants pocket and locking up, before heading outside.
The lingering cool chill in the air hit him like a slap in the face, but it wasn't half as bad as it had been just days ago. People were even out and about, walking their dogs, who found it far too cold to do much of anything during the blizzard. Poor little guys. He walked around the building to go retrieve his mail, not heading to the park just yet, since he wasn't sure where she was or even if she would be able to make it there. He didn't want to impose, but they were still good friends and he enjoyed being around her. There was nothing wrong with that. It was purely platonic, almost like there had never been anything romantic between them. But he didn't forget the times they'd shared. He just kept them in a safe, where he kept other memories. They were just that, figments of the past. He didn't know how he would react to hearing that Serenity might have a boyfriend now though. Who knows how that would go down.
But who in their right mind would even begin to find the time to get a boyfriend in this weather? Only Serenity, not that he would know about that. Not yet.
