Devon Benjamin Knox
DO THE HELEN KELLER AND TALK WITH YOUR HIPS
"Well HI! The names Devon Benjamin Knox. To explain why my mother gave me…this odd name I might as well simply say she loved the name Devon. It was unique to her. Benjamin is my middle name because it was my grandpas name and he died before I was born…and Knox….well yea because its my dads last name. Most people can just call me Dev, or Ben, or even Knox, but that’s only for enemies I guess. Never call me D.B. Knox….or I‘ll punch you."
AWESOME! SO ARE YOU MALE OR FEMALE? OR SOMETHING ELSE? YOU CAN NEVER BE TOO SURE NOWADAYS..
"Personally that thing in my pants explains it all. I’m a freaking male."
HOW OLD ARE YOU?
"I‘m really seveteen, but honestly who cares these days? My birthday is July 15th and that makes me….a….An…Amazing guy?"
WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
"Unfortunately I was forced to move here from New York City, But I’m adjusting.."
NOW MOVING ONTO WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE. HOW TALL ARE YOU, AND IF YOU DON'T MIND ME ASKING, HOW MUCH DO YOU WEIGH?
"Well…I‘m around 6‘2 I guess, since my dads two inches taller than me. As for my weight…..I don’t know, Im pretty built, but not all…wrestler muscley I guess. More like a slim swimmer."
WHAT GENDER ARE YOU MOSTLY INTO: GUYS, GIRLS OR BOTH?
"I‘m as straight as a ruler, so Ladies watch out."
WHAT ARE YOU GOOD AT?
"Well I’m a good listener, Im pretty god at drawing, writing, and taking pictures. Im a master at swimming (in pretty much any weather, even if I freeze my butt off), running, and horseback riding. I’m pretty easy to talk to and Im good at cheering people up. I love cooking…which is why I cook most of the food when dads away.”
COOL. WHAT ARE YOU NOT SO GOOD AT?
" Sometimes I can control conversations, unless the person is upset. I can be really sarcastic, but I try and control it all the time. I try not to speak my mind, but that never works and I end up saying sometime stupid. And well….I tend to complain and whine a lot on occasions.”
AWW, THAT SUCKS. WHAT DO YOU LIKE?"
"I like taking pictures, writing, swimming, horseback riding, my moms cooking (when she has time to cook), my baby sister when shes not bugging me, writing, going to movies, and just laying with someone and looking at the stars (yea. Im a secret romantic okay?).”
I LIKE SOME OF THOSE THINGS TOO! WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE?
"I don’t like lame boring movies, comic books, dolls (even though Randa makes me play with them sometimes), arguing, loud noises, mornings, dressing up (I prefer casual clothing), Rap, Dancing (I have two left feet), falling off of my horse, and raisins.”
I SEE. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU FEAR?
"Mostly...the only thing Im scared of is the dark and tight places. Those two combines with the fact that heights and chainsaws would make my life a living hell fucll of fear."
WHAT ABOUT THE FUTURE, DO YOU HAVE ANY HOPES AND DREAMS?"
"Honestly, I really want to be an archetect like my mom, since she taught me all about it and stuff. Either that or maybe a writer, I've been told I'm good."
GOOD LUCK WITH THOSE! OKAY, SO I LIKE ABIT OF GOSSIP. DO YOU HAVE ANY SECRETS? I WON'T TELL ANYONE.
"Well.... The only big secret I have is that I have a half brother. Yea my dad went and knocked up another chick. So that means he had an affair, it'd rip my family apart if anyone knew, so yea. Apparently it was when i was with two because...I was looking through some of his reports and stuff, being a little snoop, and found another birth certificate for 'Alexander Ashton Sikes'. He's only two years younger than me....ugh! I wish i could tell my mom, but it would kill her.."
WOW. TELL ME A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR PERSONALITY. I WANNA KNOW WHAT YOU'RE LIKE AS A PERSON.
"Personally I‘m friendly I love meeting new people, and getting to know them. I can be a little sarcastic at times but that’s only because it occupies my time you could say. Hmmm what else. I‘m Loveable and a good listener because well I live with two girls, so I learned to listen at a young age. I‘m Protective of the ones I care about especially my sister Randa. Over all I‘m an easy person to get along with. Sometimes I'm really contradicting though, and that makes it a little hard for me and someone else to decide what to do for fun."
WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN A BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND?
"Well…I look for a girl who‘s comfortable in her skin. A girl who‘s not afraid to speak her mind, and tell me what she wants. I‘d want her to be fun and outgoing but know when to relax too… Mostly I want a girl who‘d like me for me, but that sounds cliché huh?"
WELL I GUESS THAT PUTS ME OUT OF THE RUNNING. WHAT DO YOU DISLIKE IN A BOYFRIEND/GIRLFRIEND?
"I hate it when girls are obsessive and when they wear too much make up. I don’t want a girl who hides. Nagging is a big turn off too because…honestly? She doesn’t need to know where I am all the time. Clingy Isnt that appealing either….that and uptight are like…major…turnoffs to me.?
OKAY, WELL I'M GOING TO ASK WHAT SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITES ARE NOW, OKAY?
"Sweet! Let‘s get this party started people!"
FAVOURITE FOOD & DRINK?
"Spaghetti and meatballs & Dr. Pepper."
FAVOURITE MOVIE & TV SHOW?
"Taken & NCIS."
FAVOURITE BAND/SINGER?
"Nickelback, but then again there are so many good bands out in the world. This ones just my favorite for the moment."
FAVOURITE COLOUR?
"I guess it‘s Dark blue."
FAVOURITE LYRIC OR QUOTE?
"‘Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.’ That quote always makes me laugh. Dunno why though."
THAT WAS FUN. TELL ME A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR PARENTS.
“Well my dad is Adam Franklin Knox, and he‘s a forty-five year old lawyer. My mother goes by Abigail Amelia Knox, but her maiden name is Evans, and she‘s a forty-two year old archetect. I love my parents even if they get on my nerves."
DO YOU HAVE ANY SIBLINGS?
"Well I have one sibling, and that’s a sister. Her name is Miranda Zara Knox and she‘s ten years old. Anyone messes with her, Id….get protective."
TELL ME ABOUT A REALLY GOOD TIME IN YOUR LIFE.
"Well I remember the first time my grandma taught me how to ride a horse. I mean yea it was hard, but I still kept at it. Won a few medals for jumping and stuff, pretty good memory. The best was learning, and then actually jumping."
THAT SOUNDS AWESOME. WHAT ABOUT A NOT-SO-GOOD TIME ON YOUR LIFE?
"Wow….that’s a toughie. I remember when I was little, around six or seven I think, my older cousin Susan stuffed me in this space in the back of her closet. It was so freaky! Like…the walls were closing in. Ever since then I cant stay in a tiny room with no lights…and I cant sleep with doors open, the dark just scares me I guess, that and cramps places."
OH DEAR. I THINK THIS INTERVIEW IS OVER NOW. HAS ANYONE EVER TOLD YOU THAT YOU LOOK ALIKE LIKE ALEX PETTYFER? COS YOU REALLY DO. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.
"Why thank you! I‘ve never been told that, but hell he must be sexy! Haha bye!."

“Why Honeydukes?”
Today wasn’t a good day for Devon apparently as he sat at the kitchen table that morning, his eyes locking in combat with his mothers. She had asked him to watch his baby sister today, the only day that he could probably get away from running errands for her. And sadly Abby wanted to go to the sweet shop in Hogsmeade. “ Because she wants to go get some candy, Dev.” His mother was saying now, for what seemed like the hundredth time, her voice never wavering even though he knew she was getting frustrated. He ran his hands through his blonde hair and sighed.
As if on cue his sister, Abigail, skipped into the room and flung her arms around him. “Devvy Bear!” She said, planting one of her heart melting smiles on her lips. How could he refuse now? He glared playfully at his mother and then smiled at Abby. “I swear you and mom know how to make me do anything” He said as he stood up, and looked down at his clothes. “ Devon’s going to take you to get your candy Abbykins” His mother said, just to egg the seven year old on. His little sister gasped with delight and attached herself to the leg on his dark blue jeans.
“Oh fine! You two win…” he said as he picked his sister up. “But I get to buy some chocolate frogs….” Devon joked as he waited for his mother to give him the money for his sister. Once she had they were off. Well not really. “ You have to take the floo powder.” His mother said flatly. Devon groaned and shook his head furiously. He hated using the sickly green powder to get around, plus he hated when he said a word wrong and ended up in China or someplace. He sighed softly in defeat. He couldn’t win with two women in the house, and especially not with a cute little sister like his. “Fine.” he said.
“You’d better love me forever Abs” Devon said as he watched his little sister dance towards Honeydukes. The corners of his lips twitched into a Devon like smile, not to big but still noticeable. He loved Abby, and she knew even at seven that he’d do anything for her, so when she pushed her little way into the sweet shop he followed close behind, trying to keep her dark head in his sites as she went off in the small crowd towards the licorice. “Ugh…how can she eat that stuff….” he said, shaking his head again, making his way over to something more…normal and not gross. “Chocolate frogs…” he said softly, smirking as he turned his back towards the door and looked at the tiny packages of sweetness.
