Peyton had gotten lost in this perfect moment with the most perfect guy in her world. She couldn't hear anything, but the beat of her heart and Lucas's heart which sometimes felt like one. His lips against hers made her want more of him, but didn't want to get ahead of herself. She had so many hidden feelings for Lucas that she could feel pouring out right now.
She was glad she didn't back away, but instead, kissed him back. She had to. She felt if she didn't kiss him then she might explode. There were so many things running through her head now that went away when he kissed her. She knew people would probably be talking about what was happening right now, but none of that mattered. Nothing else mattered in the world except Lucas. The rest of the world could wait. She'd always loved him from the start.
