The Story...
Five weeks after the US Government called off their manhunt for people with abilities, the US seems to be moving in the right direction. People are heading back to their lives, the Company has been reestablished, with the entire Petrelli family holding the reigns this time. It seems that the crisis - the Special's crisis, at least, is over.
But no matter what Angela, Peter, and Nathan could do, for all of their power and powers, they couldn't stop the whispers. No names, of course. But ideas. That the people that had been the focus of the so-called Violation of Rights had deserved it. That they were freaks. They could do things that no one should be able to do. Like bring down a plane.
Those whispers, which seemed to amount to nothing, amounted to everything.
A Russian military group, known only as S.P.E.A.R. - Special Persons Engagement and Retrieval - has made it's way to the US. They have flown strictly under the radar, and they have done so quickly. The Company is under attack by this group of Specials and their human counterparts. The S.P.E.A.R. agents finding no problem in exercising force that the Company would have never used in the past.
S.P.E.A.R. has become a problem that cannot be ignored. They have murdered or captured several special people, without hesitation or remorse. No one knows where S.P.E.A.R. has come from, or what their plans are. Only that their actions cry out for a war.
